in -Guerlain, 2007 Summer, fashion, makeup

Both owned by LVMH, Guerlain and Pucci have put together a makeup collection that is going to be the talk of summer 2007.

Most items feature the iconic Pucci print. Look out for Guerlain’s equally iconic meteorites powder sporting the classic pattern.

I am not really a Pucci fan. But I will be very interested in checking out the collection, especially the new lipgloss in Sparking Sea, which is a sheer aquamarine lipgloss (the sort of sheer, blue/green lipgloss I love to collect).

In the UK, the collection will be out on April 14 in Harvey Nichols, Selfridges, and Harrods, and will be available nationwide on May 19 (information from Grazia magazine).

(Edited on April 24, 2007: The collection is now available online at Harrods.)

Hi, I already have the Meteorites by Pucci. I’m not that happy about the pearls. I’ve got a feeling they just mixed whatever leftover balls they had, put it in a new box and called it “Limited Edition”. No new colors, no new effects. Very disappointed. Probably will return : (

Thank you for dropping by, Tea!

First of all, maybe I should start stealing the balls as well (it never occurred to me before…)!

I see your point of Meteorites. The main selling point of the collection is the Pucci prints, isn’t it? (But I thought there are supposed to be many balls of pink and aquamarine, which are used in the Pucci prints on the packaging…)

I won’t be getting the Meteorites myself. What I am planning to buy is that aquamarine lipgloss. I know it will come out totally transparent on the lips but I would love to have that gorgeous color on my dressing table. (I know it is totally irrational…)

I also envy that you live in a place where you can return used cosmetics items. In the UK, in most cases, people can only return things in 28 days and unopened (what’s the point?). There is even one major department store which does not allow any return and refund for cosmetics…

Maybe I should get a lip gloss instead of pearls? : ) Stealing balls is a cool idea : ) then you can start mixing your own colours ; )

Hello Tea,

Love the idea of mixing my own colors…

I haven’t actually seen the lipglosses. But I have seen enough of the aquamarine one on websites and magazines and I am quite sure that is what I want…

I am planning to get it this week (if it is still in stock). I will definitely write about it later on. Do stay tuned! :)
