Anti-Aging Week (5-4): The Best 10 Minutes You Could Ever Spend

in anti-aging, skincare, What do you think? Beauty topics and thoughts

Some time ago I read the article What Makes a State-of-the-Art Moisturizer? on Paula Begoun‘s website.

I urge everyone to read it. Clear, concise, jargon-free, and informative, it has all we need to know about moisturizers.

In summary of her article, a top-of-the-notch moisturizer, by today’s standard, should include these ingredients:

–ingredients that mimic the structure of the skin
–anti-irritants

–anti-oxidants

–cell-communicating ingredients

–emollients

–sunscreen ingredients (for daytime moisturizers)

I will leave you to have a look at the article to see exactly what these ingredients are and what they do for our skin.

With this knowledge, we don’t necessarily need others (sales assistants, celebrities in TV adverts,…) to tell us what product works. (It doesn’t have to be any of Paula’s products.) We can all make a sound judgment on our own and pick out products that are superior to others wherever we do our skincare shopping.

Concluding tomorrow: Sagging Skin vs. Thinning Purse…

I have gone to Paula’s website (by accident) many a times googling new skin care ingredients I’ve heard about. I love her. I don’t use her products though, I actually found something that seemed to be superior. Hydropeptide is amazing and just like she suggests, it has all of these ingredients in it. I am your so-called “type-A” and I research everything and anything before I by it and this stuff is amazing. It has all the good stuff. So other than it sounding like a miracle on paper, it actually is. I love it! My skin has never looked better. I really should keep it a secret, but its just one of those things you can’t shut up about.

Hello Marina (and fellow Paula lover)!

Thank you for your comment again.

I have not used her products either. (Now, in Europe, we can order samples at a very low price so I have been tempted.)

I am fairly intrigued with HydroPeptide, particularly with its ingredient list, since you mentioned that it has all the different ingredients mentioned by her. I didn’t see it on their website. Do you know where I can see the full ingredient list on-line? (As I mentioned a while ago, I don’t think it is available in the UK.)

Thank you in advance for your reply!
