I am not usually a MAC person. The last time I wrote about MAC was back in November last year when I was talking about the MACouture collection. I didn’t buy anything from MACouture, but months later I did buy a Patternmaker lip palette, which is the only MAC item I have at the moment. (I shall write a post about it later.)

But it seems my lone Patternmaker lip palette might soon welcome some siblings. Nowadays I rarely get excited about MAC as I used to years ago, but the upcoming Holiday 2007 lineup really caught my eye! Antiquitease (pictured above) is part of what will be appearing at MAC counters in the coming months.

Well, yes, it is the packaging. It has a retro and fancy Baroque feel with some elaborate patterns. It is a little similar to my princessy Majolica Majorca cases…just the kind of things I love!

For (many!!) more photos, have a look at the Specktra.Net Beauty Blog. I know I will be there to do some serious picking and choosing! (Also, get your diary out for the release dates.)

(A special thanks goes to A-Mused at Musings of a Muse, who knows what I like, for bringing my attention to the MAC holiday 2007 collections.)

I’ve never tried any MAC makeup, but I really like the colors in the palettes on the right. Very soft and pretty. The packaging’s not too shabby either.

This years collections are really progressive! It’s nice to see MAC moving away from a formula that’s simply worked well for past couple of holidays (*yawn*, boring!), taking some risks and being FUN again! Brings us stragglers back into the fold and gets us EXCITED about the product once more. ;) I have a feeling there’s going to be quite a few sell outs on release day! Yay MAC for stepping it up for us this year.

Hello Claire,

Thank you for your comment!!

The palette on the right looks very soft and wearable indeed. I myself like the one on the left. There are some interesting shades there and I look forward to seeing them in person!

Hello Janice,

Thank you for stopping by!

That’s very perfectly said. These items do seem fun and exciting, and I am definitely looking forward to going back to the MAC counter again.

Indeed, there has been a lot of buzz around these collections and sell-outs are probably expected. I am not sure about the situation here in the UK. Their pricings here are much higher and some people are reasonably put off by the considerable mark-up. Umm…maybe it means fewer sell-outs here? :)

Hello Kng Suan,

Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving your comment!

Great that you will be going to Japan. Makeup-wise, Japan is fantastic for all the dazzling choices. I am sure you will have fun looking through everything.

Sure, I will do a post about my makeup brushes. I don’t really have a huge collection of brushes and most of them are very basic, but I hope you will enjoy the post. It should be coming up next week!

Hope to see you again!
