(TOTALLY DIOR Cannage)
(from www.cosme.net)

I have to admit it…this is the sort of thing that might tempt me to book a flight to Japan.

Dior comes up with a special customized luxury set like this in every holiday season in Japan. Usually, a set comes with a Dior bag (not the kind of very basic toiletry bag from gifts with purchases) and a selection of beauty products.

What is also special about the set is that there is customized flexibility. In this year’s case, customers can choose any lip product (lipstick or lip gloss) and any shade they want. They can also choose any nail color they want.

The TOTALLY DIOR Cannage includes:
–any lip color product

–any nail color product

–Skin Shimmering Loose Powder

–Original Face Brush

–Dior Cannage bag

The price of the set ranges from 34,650 to 35,490 yen (from 300 USD to 308 USD), depending on exactly which lip and nail products are chosen by a customer.

Judging by the price, the bag might not be the kind of Dior bags purchased in Dior boutiques, but it should certainly not be shabby, to say the least.

It is very unlikely that this will be available outside Japan. (But if it is actually sold in any other country, I would be thrilled to be corrected.) In the meantime, we can always dream, and things can change (while we are saving up)!

Hello A-Mused,

(You are sounding very British…;-))

Well, the set will be available in Japan on December 1. Shall we say November 29 so we have the next day to get rid of the jet lag? :)

Joking aside, even though I don’t usually like Dior cannage bags, I quite like the look of this one. Love the red too!

Too pricey for me of course (needless to say), but this is a very good set. Well done again, Dior!

Wow! It looks like a beautiful set, but its too rich for me! I’m very curious to see if it’s available in the US; maybe if I actually saw the set, it would change my mind ;) Keep us posted!

It’s to good man rubbing off on me!

For my next trick I’ll start saying dear oh dear like him ;)

hehe!

Anyway.

I don’t normally like the cannage bags either actually nor do I normally like red but this looks rather stunning with the wonderful silver emblem!

Chances of seeing it UK side are pretty good but I doubt we’ll see this US side sadly.

I think pricey euro side is obscene in general! We should do a combined blog about that actually discussing the grave differences in pricing your end and my own.

Hugs my friend!

Hello Nilla Cookie,

Thank you for stopping by my blog and leaving a comment!

It is a beautiful set indeed. I do love the bold-red vanity case. I will try to keep you posted if I come across any more information.

Do let me know if you hear about anything as well. Thank you! :)

Hello A-Mused,

I agree with you. I think everything comes together very well for this bag/vanity case. I tend to like more structured bags so I guess it is why I am liking this as well.

Sadly, I really don’t think it will be available outside Japan. I think Dior only does it in Japan (not even in other Asian countries). Plus Dior has been doing a luxury set like this for years and I have not seen it elsewhere…

But marketing campaigns change all the time, so we’ll see, but maybe in a few years to come…

The combined blog post about pricings is a great idea. I can already see it happening. We shall talk about it later…;-)

hello love.

I’m swamped at work today but always have time for you ;)

I must say it does. I’m not one for red but this is pure class for sure!

I’ve failed to see any of this hit our shores either. A few days ago you were discussing the cute clutch they introduced a while ago..the name of which escapes me at the moment..I’ve never seen those outside of airport duty shops outside the UK.

It’s sad that we never get any of the fun stuff sigh :( I actually got that clutch during a trip to the UK otherwise I’d never have gotten in elsewhere outside of E-bay!

I’d love to see them bring more interesting dior products stateside.

It just seems the “pretty” either ends up in Japan or UK!

Cool! ;) I owe you some messages anyway, so more to discuss ;)

Hello A-Mused,

I see. I first saw the Dior clutch palette at Heathrow Airport and thought it was available in most international airports…

But I remember seeing some Dior items that were exclusive to Sephora in the US. Also, when Dior launched the fragrance Miss Dior Cherie, I saw a limited-edition Miss Dior Cherie makeup palette on a US department store’s website…We never had it here…:(

So maybe we both have some exclusive items! :)

Hello Melissa,

Well, I think this picture is probably the only thing I’ll ever have of this set.

But I am excitedly waiting for Dior Light (the pendant) to be released! :)
