Lavshuca is releasing a gorgeous collection for summer 2008. Apart from two new shades of Rouge Essence Bar lipsticks (PK-4 and BE-3), the collection includes two limited-edition Summer Gradually Compacts, eye palettes with six coordinating shades.

I think both palettes are equally pretty, and I was tempted to get both. But, since I had been interested in gold and taupe at the moment, I decided to go for 01 Shiny Sandy Beach. (The official release date is May 1st, but many brands in Japan tend to put out new collections earlier by a week or two.)

I just received it and I haven’t tried it yet, but here it is!
(Golden Loveliness…)

The palette features, from left to right, pale champagne gold, bronze gold, off-white with a pale gold undertone, soft warm taupe, medium brown, and beige-brown. The middle four shades look nicely shimmery. The pale champagne gold on the left is quite sparkling, and the beige-brown on the right is semi-matte.

I am loving the look of the compact. It is made of metal and has a textured matte finish, so there won’t be any fingerprints. Like the eye/lip palette for holiday 2007, part of the fun is to put the colors into the compact.

I will try out the palette very soon, and I will be reviewing it in about two weeks’ time. Please do come back!

Hi Teneasha,

Thank you for visiting my blog!

Lavshuca is a drugstore line by Kanebo. It is available in Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Long at the moment. The prices are reasonable and the quality is consistently good.

If you are interested, I wrote a post a while ago to profile Lavshuca briefly. :)

Thank you for visiting my blog! Hope to hear from you (and Kenya) again soon! :)

Hi PJ,

Thanks for posting this! I’ve been wondering if the cover will be plastic or metallic from the pics, but now I know :) Can’t wait for your review!

Could you let me know how much is the retail price for this palette? Thanks!

Hi, I’ve been reading your blog for some time and I really enjoy it!

I am very attracted to the new eye palettes but I can’t make up my mind which color I want (tempted to get both >.< ), they are both so pretty and wearable... I also bought the heart shaped eye palette in blue and am loving it (though I didn’t like it initially cuz of all the shimmers and it is not very pigmented). Can’t wait for you test the eyeshadow and see what you think of it. May be it’ll help me decide which one to get…

Hi The Muse,

I didn’t get anything from Lavshuca’s spring collection, and I was waiting to see what they would come up with for summer. I was very happy to see these gorgeous palettes!

I hope you will get yours very soon, and I look forward to reading about your thoughts on them!

Thank you for stopping by again! :)

Hi ‘ * : . b | u 3 . : * ‘,

You are very welcome!

I was wondering about that too. I am happy that it is a metal case. I think it is mostly aluminum, and it is very light.

The retail price of this palette in Japan is 1890 yen. (I read it on another website.)

Thank you very much for reading my blog and leaving your comment again! :)

Hi Kng Suan,

If I had seen these two palettes two months ago, I would have probably chose the green-blue one. But I have been looking more into beige-gold shades in the last few weeks (which I actually didn’t have a lot of), so I decided to go for this one instead. I will talk more about this in my post on Coffret D’Or’s Gold Variation palette later on. :)

Have a good trip to Hong Kong, and thank you for stopping by my blog again! :)

Hi XY,

Thank you very much for reading my blog and leaving your comment! :)

I was quite tempted to get both as well. Also, if I had seen these two palettes two months ago, I would have probably got the green-blue one… I guess it is mostly about what you want more at the moment.

(Also, I wanted to save money for a couple of other things later on. Otherwise, I might have got both…)

You have probably seen that I have the blue Eye Color Select palette as well. I do like it very much. I personally don’t actually like eyeshadows that are intensely pigmented, and I really like the Eye Color Select range. :)

I hope you will enjoy the full review of the new palette later on!

Thank you again for your comment. Hope to hear from you again soon! :)

May I ask where I can get this? ^^

Hi Dawn,

Lavshuca is currently sold in Japan, Taiwan, and Hong Kong.

Currently, online-wise, you can purchase this item on ichibankao.com (which is based in Japan). The store takes PayPal payments and ships internationally. I have shopped from this site for several times and I have been very happy with their service.

Hope it helps!

Thank you for leaving your comment again! :)
