Clinique (Truly) Naturally Glossy Mascara

(Clinique Naturally Glossy Mascara in Jet Black)

So far, I have not been talking about mascaras very much. One reason is that I don’t really use them often and I have not tried many of them. But another reason is that Clinique‘s Naturally Glossy Mascara pretty much ended my search for a good mascara a long time ago.

If you want a false-eyelash effect from a mascara that gives dramatic volume and length, then this product will definitely disappoint you. As the name rightly suggests, the effect is natural, and that is why I like it.

In terms of application, the great thing about this mascara is that it has never clumped on my lashes (not even just a little bit). Also, the bristles are dense and evenly placed on the wand, and the mascara goes on very smoothly and evenly.

It delicately enhances the lashes by adding some length and a bit of volume. Overall, it creates a very natural “no-mascara” look. (The shade in Jet Black is very dark and doesn’t look greyish or ashy.) The effect is long-lasting as the mascara stays put all day for me, and I think it is a very good mascara for a minimal daytime look. (It is not water-proof.)

Naturally Glossy Mascara has been around for quite a long time, and deservedly so. I hope Clinique will not be thinking about discontinuing it.

If you want a mascara that adds considerable length and volume, then the mascara I will talk about later this month might appeal to you. Stay tuned!

Hi there,

Thank you for leaving your comment!

I do apologize, but, at the moment, I don’t really post photos of myself. But some readers have suggested that I do, and I will definitely consider it in the future.

Thank you for stopping by my blog! :)

It’s my fave ever mascara too. Other mascaras have too much product on the wand and I have to wipe them a bit, this one is perfect.

Hi there,

That is what I think as well, even though I didn’t mention it in the post.

It is great that you love this mascara too. I feel that many people like quite dramatic mascaras, but, most of the time, when I do wear a mascara, I like it quite natural and subtle.

Thank you for visiting my blog and leaving your comment! :)

I will make sure I try this one next time I’m at the makeup counter.

Hey PJ:(it’s Mina/wieniawski, if it’s showing some other random names)

I stopped collecting mascara long time ago since I realized that it’s not as visually pleasing as collecting the once with pretty color/package and mascara expires pretty fast…naturally glossy, that sounds really good! I like it when the mascara offer just a little tint on my lashes compare to those scarry extensions…I might give this a try when I run out. (right now, for the natural effect I use Neutrogena wax-free(got it like 3 bucks) one or almay nourishing one (clearance at 1.48 dollars…but the mascara was actually *very* good imo) , not that I am suggesting you to buy at full price (which is only 5-6bucks anyway…

yeah, I did receive your comment, I didn’t reply because:

1.school work was getting on my *butt*

2.the whole point posting that anna sui post was so that I can share it with you, since you’ve looked at it already, I though there is not that much need keeping it up.

3.My writing and the picture was giving me a headache, yes,my own writing…

4. I found out that I lost 90% the flame with anna sui after buying all those random craps (including the lousy blotting paper…)I still love those little accesories though.

5.Since you’ve asked, I will definitely post it up again sometime, it was pointless tell you back then then let you wait for N months, I was planning to re-do it then let you know…so you won’t have to wait

6.the place I live had some serious hailing going on last week, one of the results was that: our windows got broken and my camera, which was on my bed, right by the windows, broke after being soaked in rain…

7.the list can go on forever but I think I will just give you a break…

Yeah, I think because you and some other bloggers),plus eye makeup looks weird on me (I have sorta thick brows and for-some-reason very framed eyes…adding any color would be a bit too much unless I am in an concert) I started to collect blushers/blush brush now…currently I am just getting the baby brands…but I like looking at them..(just like it makes me feel good when I play with me lip gloss.)

Hi Mina,

Good to hear from you again!

The two mascaras that you mentioned do sound good, but Neutrogena or Almay’s makeup products are not sold in the UK…:(

Thank you so much for letting me know why you took off the Anna Sui post, and I am really sorry about what happened to your camera. Hope your room is okay now…

It would be great to read your Anna Sui post again. But do take your time. Perhaps this time you might consider having the post stay on one of your blogs. I will definitely go back to it for references, and I think other Anna Sui fans will find you as well.

Do please let me know when it is up. I look forward to seeing your post along with the photos. :) Hope your school work will ease up a bit later as well…

As I mentioned, I haven’t really tried many mascaras and I don’t have many. In most cases, I am definitely a blusher person. I am sure you will discover some really great blushers for yourself!

Thank you very much for taking the time to write to me again. Hope to talk to you again soon, and have a good week! :)

I am a huge fan of Clinique High Impact Mascara, but lately I’ve been looking for something a little more subtle, so I’ll definitely be giving this a try!

Hi Melissa,

I have read good reviews of Clinique’s High Impact Mascara, and I will definitely try it if I am feeling experimental…

Hope you will enjoy using the Naturally Glossy one. Do let me know what you think if you have a chance to try it out.
