(Dior Night Diamondfrom the Holiday 2008 Collection )

I always look forward to Dior’s holiday releases, and the packaging of this year’s star item, Night Diamond, is yet again inspired by Dior’s couture designs.
Dior‘s holiday 2008 collection will be released in Japan on November 1st. There should be more items to come. So far some of the items include:
– Night Diamond (pressed powder, 2 shades)
– J’Adore Absolu (50ml, this seems to be already available in many countries)
– J’Adore Absolu Fragrance Compact (solid perfume, 4g)
I do like the case of Night Diamond, and I am really looking forward to seeing the product in person.

I find the Night Diamond an improvement over the Dior Cuir that we got for fall. The case looks lovely but I’m not sure about it being just a powder. On one hand, I’d love it to have more colour on the inside as well but if it’s just the outside pretty, I can live with that if the powder is useful. At least it’s not like the Flower Blossom where the pattern will fade eventually. Thanks for showing us PJ!
OMG i am soooo getting that compact!
This is quite a surprise from Dior because usually, they don’t make much of an effort to decorate the compacts! Its usually the inside that has all the special looking features/colours/design. The outside is pretty standard.
However I do see that there is no cosmetic jewelry this time round… Hmmm

hmm, I think I am spared from Dior Holiday collection. I thought there were some IR quints or regular guints? No?
If it’s just these 3 items, then Dior is not getting my money.

I agree that Night Diamond looks better than Dior Cuir, which I don’t really have any interest in. I hope the powder will be useful too. So far I am definitely considering getting it. (Can’t wait to see it in person.)

Indeed, Dior often has jewellery-makeup hybrid items for the holiday seasons, and it doesn’t seem to be the case this year. (But I will certainly keep you posted if I come across anything.)

I am more or less the same. There are several Dior limited-edition items that I probably won’t ever use…
But if I do get the pressed powder, I will probably use it. (It is the jewel lip glosses that I tend not to use…)

Ahhhh I’m so giddy over this collection I can’t wait, I love Dior holidays! But I wonder if they will release a jewel this year, as much as I like the compact I prefer the jewels *fingers crossed* but from the looks of it I’ll be getting a few items…

It will be great if Dior releases a jewel item again for the holiday season, but I think the jewelled palette seems to be the one for this year… It is certainly on my list at the moment.

Beautiful as ever looks fantastic. This is definitely my buy for christmas. What the 40 g solid in gold? Is it a bar of perfume?

I think it is a gold case that contains 4g of solid perfume (in balm texture). The case should probably be coated in gold and not in solid gold.
