I am sure most of you have seen or tried items from Dior’s Jazz Club fall 2009 makeup collection. Here is a quick look at the lineup, and hopefully it might be helpful for your future references.

The new items include:

– Dior Jazzclub (2 variations)

– 5-Colour Eyeshadow (1 new variation)

– 2-Color Eyeshadow (1 new variation)

– Diorliner (1 new shade)

– Diorshow Brow Styler (1 new shade)

– Diorblush (1 new variation)

– Dior Addict High Color (4 new shades)

– Rouge Dior Crème de Gloss (2 new shades)

– Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss Reflect (2 new shades)

– Contour Lip Liner (1 new shade)

– Dior Vernis (2 new shades)

– Diorskin Poudre Libre (1 new shade)

The star item, Dior Jazzclub, looks quite chic and there are some nice colors in both palettes. But I don’t think I will be picking up either of the variations since I personally think the designs of Dior Diorissime and Dior Detective Chic palettes (from fall 2007 and fall 2006, respectively) appeals to me more and the colors suit me better. (Dior Detective Chic is a multi-toned face powder.)

I think this is the Line-up for Japan and Asia. In Europe the collection is somewhat different. For example here in Belgium we won't get the new eyebrow pencil, the lipsticks don't have a glossy finish and come only in 3 colors; but we have 2 single eyeshadows (Argentic and Trendy Taupe).
A nice person was very kind to give me her purple JazzClub palette and I have to say that I'm loving it. You have everything you need in 1 palette: 1 deep crease color, 2 shimmery lid colors, 1 highlighter, a universal brow color and the dark plum liner (that can also been used as a base for a super intense smoky eye). Great pigmentation and easely blendable. IMHO one of the must buys of the fall. I'm almost sure I'll get the Smoky Jazz palette as soon as I see it in shops.

The Dior Jazzclub palette (neutral variation) is one of my top-priority buys right now, I'm certain to purchase in a couple of weeks, hopefully they won't sell out in the States til then. I'm sort of on a no-buy as I've spent too much on the MAC Love That Look collection already :P I'm so excited that the Fall collections have been good for most of my favorite brands so far (Guerlain, Lunasol, Dior, MAC, NARS, etc). I'm looking forward to Lunasol to be released next month. :)

i am so excited about this collection. i think i am interested in those LE e/s palettes but want to try them in person before i decide. i have a big problem with diro e/s palettes. even the ones i love i'd get sick of in few months for some reason. they aren't like MUFE e/s for me. MUFE e/s stay with me for the longest time (even used up!). but Dior, i don't know… very nice in all but just can't stay for good in my stash. something is not quite right.

anyway, thanks for posting. i love the way you post everything so i know what's what!

Hi CedriCeCCentriC,

Yes, Dior tends to release slightly different lineups in different regions. The items I posted here are the ones for the Asian market.

I am glad to know that you like the Purple Jazz palette! Even though I don't think I will be picking it up, I am really looking forward to testing it out at the counter. I hope you will like Smoky Jazz too!

(By the way, regarding the Lancôme Ombre Absolue palettes you mentioned earlier, they are now available in the UK.)

Thank you for posting your comment again! :)

Hi Innerchild,

I hope you will manage to get the Smoky Jazz palatte and that it won't be sold out. Hopefully you will like it!

Fall tends to be a relatively quiet period when it comes to my makeup purchases as I usually go for light and fresh colors. (Spring is the time when I buy more makeup items.) But it seems that fall is many of my readers' favorite season for makeup as there are a lot of deep and glamorous colors. :) I hope you will enjoy the items you decide to get!

Thank you for stopping by again! :)

Hi Jojoba,

Thank you very much for your kind words!

You are such an expert on Dior's items and I can't wait to read about your thoughts on these new items on your blog. I hope they won't disappoint you!

It is a shame that MUFE is not very widely available in the UK. I have only seen them in a professional makeup supply shop in London. I might want to go back there and have a better look…

Thank you for posting your comment again! :)
