Would you happen to know whether Sofina Primavista Bright Up Base contains alcohol or not? Or the foundations?
I'm looking for a new foundation actually and some asian foundations seem to be light enough for me (I'm very pale), but the ingredients are rather hard to find.

I was surprised to read about this as well. I think this shows some interesting dynamics in the world economy, and I also think this somewhat reflects the mineral makeup trend in Asia.

I have a sample of Sofina Primavista's Bright-Up Base. It has the full ingredient list on the back and alcohol (ethanol) is on the list.
Generally, primers and liquid foundations from Japanese brands do contain alcohol, which is why I don't often go for them.
Official websites of major Japanese beauty brands do not usually feature full ingredient lists of their products. The only ways to see the ingredient lists are to see the boxes of the actual products at the counters and to look for bloggers who include the lists in their reviews.
(Also, do bear in mind that the ingredient lists will be in Japanese in Japan. But they should be accompanied by English versions when they are sold in other countries.)
