My Japanese Cosmetics Focus series is back today with Satishe.

Satishe is the name of the color makeup range of CP Cosmetics, which also carries the skincare range Soigne and the base makeup range Delitia as well as haircare and bodycare products. The line features items for face, eyes, lips, cheeks and nails.

(CP Cosmetics is part of StylingLife Holdings Inc. BCL Company*, under which there are other beauty brands such as Makemania (which carries the ultra-popular Curvy Lip Silicone), Vecua and Love Clover.)

Satishe doesn’t boast dramatic colors or dazzling shimmer. The line offers wearable colors suitable for most work and casual occasions. One of the key items of the line is the eyeshadow palette Soft Veil Eyeshadow. The design of the palettes and the color combinations remind me of some of Lunasol’s early eyeshadow palettes (particularly Intellectual Eyes).

Here are some highlights of the rest of Satishe’s lineup:

– Impression Create Cream Eyeliner

Sony CP Satishe 4

.

– Lipstick ES Pure (also available in Matte and Cream)

Sony CP Satishe 5

.

– Face Color N

Sony CP Satishe 6

.

– Multi-Designing Face Color

Sony CP Satishe 7

.

Satishe used to be available in Japan only, but, according to Iswii, the line has just been launched in Taiwan. Its website does not offer on-line ordering.

(* Earlier this year, BCL Company merged with StylingLife Holdings Inc.. I believe the merged company is still co-owned by Sony.)

Hello!

I’m trying to distract myself from the disaster in Japan and took a look at your site for the first time in … only one or two weeks, but it seems longer for some reason – many new updates?

The lipsticks have pretty deep colours for a Japanese range. The eyeshadows remind me of Coffret d’Or’s Color Mixing Eyes A LOT. Especially the blue/green one.

Hi Julia,

I am relieved to know that you are doing fine.

Yes, there has been more news on summer 2011 makeup collections in the last couple of weeks so I have been putting up a few posts. I am especially looking forward to the summer items from Lunasol.

The lipsticks are indeed on the deep side. Maybe this is because Satishe’s target audience is slightly more mature than those of lines like Coffret D’Or and Maquillage. The eyeshadow palettes definitely look like Color Mixing Eyes.

I have been following the news on the earthquake on the UK news channels and NHK World. It appears that a particularly strong aftershock is expected in the next three days. Please do take good care of yourself!

Thank you for stopping by again!

Dear PJ,

thank you so much for your concern!
Luckily (which doesn’t seem like the right word to use in this connection), I am not in Japan any longer, and none of my friends who are got hurt. But the next quake may come soon, and I am worried, of course. This also makes me rethink if I want to go back to Japan next year.

Lunasol’s summer items look really good, maybe it is time I pick one of them up.

Thank you again!
Best regards,
Julia

Hi Julia,

I saw on your About Me section that you were in Japan, so I was a little concerned. I hope that all your friends in Japan are staying safe.

Take care!

Dear PJ,

I guess I should update that section, but I guess my heart IS still in Japan. ^^;

If my friends all came to live with in Germany, I would feel a lot more relieved, but I guess that’s kind of impossible…

Thank you for your kind words,

Julia

Dear Julia,

I totally understand that, as it seems that you certainly have an affinity with the country.

I have still been following the latest news on the situation. I hope all your friends are coping well.
