Dior will be releasing Palette Lady Dior as an ultra-exclusive item (as with the Tailleur Bar Palette and the Mitzah Palette Set). It is inspired by the new Tweed and Crocodile Lady Dior Bag, one of the latest editions of the iconic Lady Dior bag from Spring/Summer 2011.

Even though I adore the style of the Lady Dior bag, I am not overly keen on the tweed version or the palette itself. (I think I prefer my own Lady Dior from spring 2009.) But…who knows…maybe I will change my mind about the palette if I have a chance to see it in person……

While I was merely lukewarm to the Mitzah (neutrals really aren’t my thing even though even I have to admit those were gorgeous neutrals) or the Love Dior palette, this Lady Dior strikes the same note as the Tailleur Bar one for me! I think it’s the blue and gray mix that really draws me in. I thought the bag design was from an older collection rather than the most recent one. Definitely agree with you on the bag as I can’t think of anything in my closet that would go with unless I was to wear soft blacks and shades of gray and white all the time.

Hi Ebontien,

I wasn’t overly keen on the Mitzah palette either. I guess it is mainly because I am never a fan of animal prints. Out of all the other ultra-exclusive ones, I would easily say that, for me, Palette Lady Dior is the most appealing one. (It is because of the bag, of course……)

Here is a link to a spring/summer 2011 ad campaign image for your reference:

But I wouldn’t be surprised if it were based on an older one from a previous collection.

Thank you for stopping by again! :)

Oh gosh how cute is that?

But on further inspection, the colours are a little odd together…And frankly if I bought this, I would be so reluctant to swipe a brush over this pretty palette….Methinks it’s not meant to be used but collected — but what a waste!

Hi Astrorainfall,

I do think the color combination is striking and unusual at the same time. :)

I certainly won’t be surprised if most of the people who decide to get the palette prefer keeping it in an unused condition. (There are several seasonal limited-edition items from Dior that I haven’t used and will probably never use……)

Thank you for posting your comment again! :)
