Paul and Joe Lipstick Cases CS Fall 2014 Makeup 1

.

Back in May, I was a little surprised to see that Paul & Joe would be releasing ten Lipstick Cases CS for fall 2014. (I suppose they do go hand-in-hand with all the new lipsticks (thirteen regular ones and three limited editions).) It was also a surprise for me that five of them would feature prints from past years, which I didn’t think would happen, even though the brand occasionally used past prints for its GWP items.

I stopped by Harrods earlier this month to have a look and I purchased seven of them. I also went for Lipstick in 107 Rose Sorbet, which is a very pretty rose pink and one of the thirteen new regular shades, but let’s look at the new Lipstick Cases CS today.

10th: Bobbi Brown

Bobbi Brown Summer 2014 Makeup 5

(image from www.cosme.net)

.

There is something quite Japanese about Bobbi Brown’s Surf & Sand Eye Palettes for summer 2014. Japanese beauty lines, such as Lunasol, often release eyeshadow palettes with warm neutrals and those with combinations of neutrals and greens/blues for summer, and the Surf & Sand Eye Palettes remind me of them.

(images/info from www.paul-joe-beaute.com)

.

Based on the information on Paul & Joe‘s fall 2014 makeup collection, it appeared that 8 of the 20 Lipstick shades (launched in fall 2012) would be discontinued. I noticed earlier that Paul & Joe had updated its official website to feature the collection, and we now know exactly which 8 shades will be discontinued:

Paul and Joe Eye and Cheek Color Set 001 Holiday 2013 Makeup 1

(So many cats in this photo……)

.

Since the Paul & Joe counter at Fenwick closed in May and there was nothing on sale at Paul & Joe at Harrods this summer, I thought I’d post about my winter sale 2013 purchases last December, which I didn’t manage to write about at the time.

Paul and Joe Hair and Body Mist Holiday 2013 Bodycare Haircare Fragrance 1

.

I do love my fragrances, but, when the weather is warmer, I sometimes reach for lighter options such as body mists. (I hope my readers in the UK are enjoying the nice weather (despite the occasional rain).) One body mist that I recently purchased is Paul & Joe‘s Hair & Body Mist, which was released as part of Paul & Joe’s holiday 2013 bodycare collection. (It is not a seasonal limited-edition item.)

Paul and Joe Eye Color Trio 03 Le Jardin des Fleurs Compact 001 Spring 2014 Makeup 1

.

When I was looking through the variations of Paul & Joe‘s Eye Color Trios for spring 2014, I was sure I was going to go for 02 Mon Petit Chaton. I was less certain about 03 Le Jardin des Fleurs (I will explain the reason below), but I did decide to purchase it.

Earlier, I reviewed Paul & Joe‘s Face Powder S in 001 Secret Garden and Lipstick CS in 085 Peony from the brand’s spring 2014 My Secret Garden makeup collection. Today, I will be sharing my thoughts on Eye Color Trio in 02 Mon Petit Chaton and Compact 003 from the collection.
