Calling all Dior star item collectors…

Here is a look at Dior’s spring 2009 makeup collection. The star item of the season is Lady Dior, inspired by the iconic Lady Dior bag, which is among my favorite Dior accessory designs. The cream-based palette comes in two versions, both including a highlighter and a shade suitable for cheeks and lips. I have my eye on the one with the beautiful red (above).

The collection features soft milky beige tones for the eyes. I have to say these are the kind of neutrals that really appeal to me. There will be one new 5-Color palette (with beige tones) and one new 5-Color Iridescent palette (with slightly more varied shades.) I find the beige palette (below) surprisingly beautiful (and comforting) to look at. I can’t wait to see it in person.

The collection will also include new shades of Rouge Dior, Dior Addict Ultra-Gloss Reflect, Dior Addict High Shine, Crayon Eyeliner, Lip Liner, and nail colors.

I have been building up my Boots points, and I am ready for Lady Dior!

Do check out this report to see more photos of the collection (particularly the nice size of Lady Dior palettes).

I want the Lady Dior, like now! Spring seems so far away and we’re not even at the solstice yet…

The colours for the other items seem rather neutral compared to the other spring collections so far.

The Lady Dior Bag looks very interesting! I wonder what size it is?

The eyeshadow palettes look so good for neutral looks…

OMG I love the bag so much, it is so elegant, how pretty it is in the small version! wonder if they will have the nice feel&taste of the DIOR glosses?

I am loving this new Dior collection. I like the whole bag idea too. The colors are fabulous. My favorite is the iridescent eyeshadow palette. I just love eyeshadows that give your eyes that extra shimmer.

Hi Tamtam,

If you click on the link (towards the end of my post) to the report of the Dior spring 2009 press event, you will see the palettes with all the other items. You should be able to get a sense of the size of the palettes.

Thank you for commenting! :)

Hi,

I think the two shades will have a cream-to-powder texture like what we see in the Golden Dior pendant for summer 2008. So I think they will be quite different from Dior’s glosses.

Thank you for your comment again! :)

Hi Q,

I think they are having a break from jewellery. We’ve had bracelets, rings, necklaces, and bag charms. But I am quite sure they will go back to them every now and then…

Thank you for stopping by! :
