Jill Stuart has updated its website to feature the summer 2009 makeup collection (out in Japan on June 5th). The main eye makeup item for the seasonal ad image (below) is Jelly Eye Color N in 08 Crystal Sky (pictured above). It seems to be a very pretty medium purple shade and I am seriously considering getting it.

Also, on July 3rd in Japan, Jill Stuart will release Jill by Jill Stuart Perfumed Body Powder (7g). It is an addition to the Jill by Jill Stuart Eau de Toilette range.

Why have all these japanese brands white women as their face?

what about a real dark skinned good looking asian girl.. that had been exciting.

Wow, the opening pic is probably the best pic of the new Jelly Eye Color N I’ve seen on the net! Gives a better view of the purple shade, and I’m lemming for that one as well! I like the JS EDT sample I got from a previous online order and am considering on getting a full bottle. It smells so girly and cute, which I like. I would compare it to Clinique’s Happy Heart, but more sweeter :)

Hi,

It seems that most models (Japanese or non-Japanese) in Japanese beauty ads have quite a fair skin tone. This seems to reflect customers’ general preferences in Japan, but it would indeed be more interesting if there were slightly more diversity in this respect.

Thank you for your comment! :)

Hi Innerchild,

Yes, the photo of the new Jelly Eye Color N is certainly very appealing. (I think the purple shade looks quite gorgeous as well.)

Thank you for telling me about the Jill by Jill Stuart EDT, as I have never tried it. It sounds like a lovely scent!

If you decide to try any shade of Jelly Eye Color N, do let me know what you think.

Thank you for your comment again! :)
