Costume National is an Italian fashion brand founded by Ennio and Carlo Capasa in 1986. The brand has released several fragrances (Scent, Sheer, Gloss, etc). Pop Collection, inspired by the pop art of Andy Warhol, is its latest creation.

Top notes: pink grapefruit, raspberry, cassis
Middle notes: rose, jasmine
Base notes: patchouli, cashmeran, ambre gris

Even though the scent has rose and jasmine as the heart notes, the overall composition doesn’t appear to be particularly floral. For me, it is a mixture of fruity and spicy elements. There is an overriding sharpness, which I feel is coming from pink grapefruit and patchouli. Neither rose or jasmine has a prominent existence, but, between the two, jasmine shows up a little more on my skin.

On the whole, the scent remains crisp and sharp throughout the wear and doesn’t have a clear sense of progression. The first whiff of the scent upon application is fairly similar to the drydown.

The fragrance bottle comes in four colors (red, orange, turquoise, and blue). The outer boxes are identical so you won’t know which bottle you have got until you open the box.
