Shortly after I purchased Kanebo Kate‘s Gradical Eyes A in GD-1 (my first purchase from this popular Japanese drugstore beauty line), I decided to go for PU-1 from the same range. (It was released in spring 2011.) Today I am sharing my thoughts on this palette.

I currently have four variations of Sofina Aube Couture‘s Designing Impression Eyes, and today I am sharing my thoughts on 552 Brown, which was released in fall 2011. (Read my reviews of 553 Purple (fall 2011), 555 Brown (spring 2012), and 561 Purple (fall 2012).)

Dior‘s spring 2013 Chérie Bow makeup collection has an abundance of feminine pink shades. The seasonal limited-edition star item, the Chérie Bow palette, caught my attention, and I decided to go for 002 Rose Perle, which I preferred to the more gray-toned 001 Rose Poudre.

It was the sale time again, and I had to stop by the Paul & Joe counters in London to see what was on offer. (See my Paul & Joe sale purchases in 2010 and 2011.)
Paul & Joe’s sale items are usually past limited-edition items, discontinued (replaced) products, soon-to-be-discontinued products, and overstock. For this winter sale, many Lipstick N shades and Face Color variations were on sale, since the new lipstick lineup was released in fall 2012 and the new range of blushers (Cheek Color) will be launched soon as part of the brand’s spring 2013 makeup collection.

If you happen to be a regular reader of my blog, then, yes, this is finally my first ever item from Kate!
As mentioned in my post back in 2007, Kate, owned by Kanebo, is a popular Japanese drugstore makeup line. It is generally as widely available in Japan, East Asia, and Southeast Asia as other popular drugstore makeup lines from Japan such as Majolica Majorca and Lavshuca. However, as a fan of Japanese cosmetics for many years, I had never bought anything from Kate. Earlier this year, I looked through Kate’s products in person again and decided to go for Gradical Eyes A in GD-1, which was released in Japan in spring 2010.

This year, Kosé’s Elsia is one of the Japanese makeup lines that really caught my attention. Earlier I posted about the line’s Luxe Shine Eye Color in E-5, which started my Stash Debut 2012 series. The Melty-on Eye Color range was lunched in spring 2012 and includes eight variations (¥945 each), and today I am sharing my thoughts on GD-1, my second purchase from Elsia.

I was disappointed with the lack of the limited-edition star item in Dior‘s holiday 2011 makeup collection, and I had been looking forward to seeing what Dior was going to bring out for this holiday season. Dior’s holiday 2012 Grand Bal makeup collection features warm-toned shades for the eyes and rich reds for the lips. (It is good to see new Diorific lipsticks and nail colors.) The star item is the Grand Bal palette, and I decided to get it with my Boots points.

After YSL released Gloss Pur in 11 Icy Effect in summer 2011, I didn’t think there would be another blue-tinted lip gloss from the brand anytime soon. However, YSL’s holiday 2012 Northern Lights makeup collection, with an unusual blue color theme for the festive season, features Golden Gloss in 55 Arctic Blue. (It is called Blue Iceberg in Japan and perhaps other countries.) Yes, I had to have it.

Paul & Joe‘s Pearl Foundation Primer was first released in spring/summer 2012 as a limited-edition item. I was planning to buy it at the time, but it seemed to sell out quite quickly and I missed out on it. A few months later, I was very pleased to see it back as part of Paul & Joe’s limited-edition holiday 2012 makeup collection. I certainly didn’t allow myself to miss out on it again!
