Even though, for me, AYURA is my all-time favorite brand, I have not been talking too much about its makeup collections in the past few seasons. The previous few collections have been slightly lackluster and I have not been picking up new AYURA makeup items for a while.

But, finally, there is a pleasant change. While the sensual curves of the packaging remain, this is the very first time AYURA is using an intensely dark color scheme for its products. (Usually AYURA uses various pastel shades.)

I think the dark color scheme works very well here, alongside a touch of intricate pattens. Visually, this is definitely a new AYURA.

The AYURA spring 2008 “Aura Feel” collection includes:

Aura Feel Rouge: 21 shades (3 of which limited editions)
Aura Feel Veil blusher: 3 shades
Aura Feel Brush
Aura Feel Nail: 18 shades

The collection will be launched in Japan on January 23, 2008.

Hi PJ,

Ayura’s spring collection is visually stunning. I may have to get one of the blushers for my first Ayura purchase!

It’s snowing here.

Cheers,
Betsy

Hello Betsy,

I am very interested in getting the blusher as well.

It comes in 4 shades (PK01, OR01, RD01, and BR01). Usually, Ayura’s blushers are soft and wearable. PK blushers usually suit me so I will look forward to seeing PK01.

I want some snow…

Hello Aretha,

I think AYURA products are currently available in Japan and Taiwan. I have an impression that they used to be available in Singapore as well but left a while ago. But I could be wrong.

One Japan-based on-line cosmetics shops is Ichibankao (ichibankao.com). The seller can help you buy what you want in Japan. I have not shopped from this site before, so I shall leave you to explore it.

In terms of the prices of Paul & Joe items in the UK, the prices on hqhair.com are the same as the retail prices in Harrods and Fenwick in London.

Thank you for your comment again! :)

Hello Row,

I am liking the new darker look as well! Very elegant and sophisticated.

If you are interested in getting AYURA products from the UK, please have a look at the comment I left for Aretha above.

Thank you very much for commenting again! :)

Hey PJ

Have you decided if you are buying anything from this range? I was thinking of buying a mathing set in the Pink or Rose (I noticed they have beige – this is my usual choice but I want to try something different). Do you have any colour preferences for make up & blushers from Ayura? I am quite new to the brand.

:)

Hello Row,

I see. I think that, if you want to try something other than beige, the PK one might be a good choice. I have a feeling that all these shades should be relatively sheer. Plus you can mix the three shades in the compact to create a soft finish. So I’d imagine the PK one should be quite wearable for most people.

As for me, I almost decided to buy the blusher in PK01. But I decided later that I am going to wait for a bit. I am waiting to see if Ayura will bring out more items (perhaps lip glosses or eyeshadow palettes) with this new packaging, which I do like. Then I will decide what items I would like to buy. (Also, I don’t think the items in this collection are limited-edition. So I can go back to them later if I want to.)

Thank you for your questions! :) Let me know if you would like to know anything else!
