Here are a few more photos from Dior’s holiday 2008 collection. The photo above is a close-up of the Holiday Collection Makeup Palette that I mentioned in an earlier post.

The photos below show more palettes from the collection. These are similar to the ones from last year. I am not certain if they are global releases. If the ones from last year were available where you are, chances are that you are probably going to see these new ones later. (By the way, the 2007 ones were sold in the UK, and I’d say I will be expecting to see them in October.)

I actually ‘accidentally’ purchased one of the eyshadow quads – 801 Warm Harmony – which is the neutral looking quad. It’s so pretty and I’m glad the MA at my drug store was totally willing to sell it to me since they no longer had the Iridescent Leather palette and I was peeking over her shoulder!

of all the holiday collections you have posted, only YSL has some remote effect on me. I am not interested in any of the Dior I have seen so far. IT’S GREAT! LOL

Hi Asiyakei,

That’s really great that you were able to get it early. Both eye palettes look quite pretty in the photo, and I hope to see them in person soon!

Thank you for posting your comment! :)

Hi Jojoba,

Yes, I agree that it is not totally bad when I see collections that do not appeal to me. It will be a disaster if I want everything!

Thank you for stopping by again. :)

Hi Kiks,

I do agree with you. I think the eye palettes definitely look better than those from last year.

Hightea_xx,

Thank you for letting me know. :) I was not totally surprised because I remember that last year I saw the palettes in the UK in early October as the first “wave” of Dior’s holiday 2007 lineup. I am looking forward to seeing these new ones in person! :)

Thank you for your comment again! :)

OMG!The Holiday Collection Makeup Palette looks absolutely great! Very useful for trips and such. It’s a pity it won’t be sold at my city… :'(

i went shopping today and found out what the Diamond compact is based on.

it’s one of their sunglasses called the “Indinight”.

Hi Eru,

I agree. I like the colors and the product design. It is a pity that it won’t be sold where you are. But I think you can probably find it on-line if you decide to hunt it down. :)

Thank you for your comment again! :)

Hi Kiks,

Thank you for the link!

Yes, most of Dior’s seasonal star items draw inspiration from the fashion lines. I think this is a great idea to bring fashion and beauty even closer together.

Thank you for your comment again! :)

i have been looking for iridescent leather palette too, but i wasnt successful, and i ended up purchased the winter collection, 029 moonlight, and i bought the night diamond (it is $80usd+tax), the case itself is very pretty, but kinda heavy, and the powder itself is super shimmery, however, they only sell the color 001, but i think it is kinda pricey

Hi Rachel,

I have been looking forward to the Night Diamond compact. I personally like heavier compacts so I suspect I will like this one. :)

I hope you are enjoying the Moonlight palette!

Thank you very much for sharing your thoughts. :)
