Launched in fall 2005, Maquillage has been Shiseido’s main base and point makeup line. For holiday 2014, the line will release Dramatic Rouge (10 shades, ¥3000) in Japan on November 21st. The new product, showcasing the line’s new look, will kickstart the line’s renewal.

For fall/winter 2014, Kao Sofina Primavista Ange will add a loose powder to its base makeup lineup. The powder (6g, NTD 420 (approx. USD 14.05/ GBP 8.54)) is designed to deliver shine control and pore coverage while creating a natural and translucent finish.
It will be released in Taiwan on September 19th.
(The Primavista Ange line is not available in Japan.)

Biteki.com has posted information on Ayura‘s holiday 2014 makeup collection. The limited-edition Dress Aura Up Coffret (¥6300) will be released in Japan on November 23rd.
The set includes a face powder, a lip gloss, a mini mascara, a lip serum, a hand cream and a makeup pouch. It is nice to see some new makeup items from Ayura as there haven’t been many new makeup releases from the brand since early last year.

Earlier this year, I reviewed Powder Foundation UV (Long Keep) from Kao Sofina Primavista Ange, a base makeup line developed for the Taiwanese market. (The line is not sold in Japan.) The products are formulated to appeal to those with combination or oily skin who need to cope with a warm and humid climate. Besides the powder foundation, I also purchased Long Keep Base UV and Liquid Foundation UV (Long Keep). (I rarely use primers or liquid foundations, but I was curious about them.) Today I am reviewing Long Keep Base UV.

Here is a look at Chanel‘s fall 2014 makeup collection. Chanel is expanding its Les 4 Ombres eyeshadow palette range, and I wonder if it is just a coincidence that Dior is also bringing out the new 5 Couleurs eyeshadow palettes for fall 2014.

Launched in 2008, Oxygenetix Oxygenating Foundation was originally formulated to be used after cosmetic surgeries and cosmetic procedures. It is claimed to provide a natural, complete, and breathable coverage. In a way, the original purpose of this product is similar to that of a B. B. cream. (The product is not claimed to be or marketed as one, and I will go back to this later on.)

Kanebo Lunasol has updated its official website with preliminary information on the line’s Rococo-inspired fall 2014 makeup collection, which will be released in Japan on August 22nd.
