Shiseido Snow Beauty will release its fall 2026 base makeup collection in Japan on July 21st. The collection includes:
– Brightening Skincare Powder (1 shade, 25g, limited edition)
There are two availability options:
- 1 x 25g pressed powder & powder case (¥7000)
- 1 x 25g pressed powder (without powder case) (¥4300)
The option that includes a powder case also includes two powder puffs.
(Notice the increased prices of both availability options. Also, this year, the option that includes a powder case does not include a storage pouch.)

Like the previous versions of the powder (from 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024 and 2025), the 2026 version is both a setting powder for daytime and a skincare powder for nighttime.
The 2026 version features niacinamide.
The slimmer powder puff is for daytime use while the fluffier powder puff is for nighttime use. The slimmer powder puff can be stored in the powder case.

I usually look forward to Snow Beauty every year, but this aesthetic change feels a bit jarring. I think I’ll get the refill since I’ve heard good things about this year’s formula, but the case isn’t for me.

Even though I do still think the case for this year looks fairly nice, I definitely prefer most of the cases from previous years. (My favorite cases are those from 2014 (the very first one), 2020 and 2025.)
It will be interesting to see whether additional decorative elements will be added to this case design for the next version. (It might be possible that future cases will have very different designs (like those from Cosme Decorte Marcel Wanders Collections).) We’ll see!
