Les Merveilleuses de Ladurée will release its spring 2015 makeup collection in Japan on January 30th. The brand is popular for its blushers, and the new Powder Cheek Color (above) will join the blusher lineup in spring 2015 as a regular item.

For fall/winter 2014, Estée Lauder launched the Enlighten skincare range in the UK in October. The new range is claimed to “help brighten the look of dark spots, sun spots, blemish marks, dullness and redness”. The range currently features three items: Dark Spot Correcting Night Serum, Even Skintone Correcting Creme and E.E Even Effect Skintone Corrector SPF 30. Today I am reviewing the first two items.

Japanese beauty magazine Maquia is running a Team Nippon project on its website. (The project is part of the website’s Japanese Women’s Beauty Plan feature.) What is interesting to me about this project is that it highlights regional beauty brands in Japan.

Shiseido will launch Prior, a new skincare/makeup/haircare line (not to be confused with Elixir Prior, one of the three Shiseido Elixir ranges), in Japan on January 21st, 2015. This is a major line debut for Shiseido, and the launch is part of the brand’s on-going marketing reform.

Christmas Kit 2014 includes items for eyes, cheeks, lips and nails. Christmas Base Make Kit 2014 features a primer, a cream foundation, a loose powder, a toner and a treatment oil.

Launched in fall 2005, Maquillage has been Shiseido’s main base and point makeup line. For holiday 2014, the line will release Dramatic Rouge (10 shades, ¥3000) in Japan on November 21st. The new product, showcasing the line’s new look, will kickstart the line’s renewal.

According to this Facebook post, Japanese beauty brand Hacci will be launched in Taiwan on October 1st. I have noticed that Hacci has been receiving more and more media coverage in Japan in the last couple of years due to its continuous releases of new products and its increasing availability in upmarket department stores. I thought I’d talk about this brand before its international debut.
