After revealing the line’s revamped makeup line for spring 2011, Kanebo Coffret D’Or also revamped its official website as additional information on the spring 2011 makeup collection went up. You can also see the five new brand ambassadors for the line. Check out this page to see the items that each of them is wearing.
To be honest, as a group, I much prefer the five original brand ambassadors, who, for me, had a better mix of looks and styles while all looking elegant and sophisticated. (I don’t think the new brand ambassadors are styled as well as they could be for these images.)

Coffret D’or is one of my favorites so I don’t know how to feel about the revamped image. I adore the elegance and sophistication of the previous seasons. The new line seems more girly and geared toward late teens or early 20’s, or maybe it’s because of the ad campaign full of giggling ladies.

I certainly agree with you on the elegance and sophistication of the previous brand image. I think what Coffret D’Or is trying to do is making the line even more friendly and approachable (a little bit like what Aube Couture has done), but I also think the feel of elegance seems to be compromised. I also prefer the previous style of product packaging…

Hope you’re well. I’m not sure I like the new look, the colours look far too sheer, and the previous packaging for the lipsticks like the Shine drape rouge were gorgeous, as were the nail varnishes. Luckily I bought about ten nail colours this year so that should last me a little while, but I will definitely miss the lipsticks as I am running out of them!

I am with you on the packaging. I am not sure whether I like the new packaging and at the moment I prefer the previous styles of packaging.
The eyeshadow palettes (particularly the Eyes Appeal Shadow palettes) do seem to be on the sheer side. But I will probably pick up one of the Eyes Appeal Shadow palettes and I will certainly post my review. :)
