For the holiday 2010 season, Elemis has released a collection of seasonal gifts as well as a seasonal candle collection. (See all the items here.) Today I am highlighting the Enriching Body Treats.

The set includes five body cleansers and one body moisturizer (from left to right in the photo above):

– Skin Nourishing Hand and Body Lotion (50ml)
– Exotic Frangipani Monoi Bath and Shower Cream (50ml)
– Exotic Lime and Ginger Hand and Body Wash (100ml)
– Skin Nourishing Shower Cream (100ml)
– Wild Lavender Hand and Body Wash (1ooml)
– Sharp Shower and Bath Gel (100ml)

The two shower creams in this set are great for those with dry skin who need gentle and moisturizing body cleansers for winter. Skin Nourishing Shower Cream features moisturizing ingredients such as sunflower seed oil, glycerin, jojoba seed oil, wheat germ oil, and macadamia seed oil. Exotic Frangipani Monoi Bath and Shower Cream includes moisturizing agents such as glycerin, sesame oil, and coconut oil. These two gentle body cleansers should appeal to those who find shower gels to be generally too drying.

On the other hand, Wild Lavender Hand and Body Wash, Sharp Shower and Bath Gel and Exotic Lime and Ginger Hand and Body Wash will leave the skin squeaky-clean. Note that the lavender flower oil in Wild Lavender Hand and Body Wash and the spearmint leaf oil and peppermint oil in Sharp Shower and Bath Gel may be skin-irritants for some people. For my review of Exotic Lime and Ginger Hand and Body Wash, please see here.

The body moisturizer in this set, Skin Nourishing Hand and Body Lotion, has a thick lotion consistency. It includes emollients such as shea butter, sesame seed oil, jojoba seed oil, meadowfoam seed oil, and macadamia seed oil. It is absorbed easily and keeps the skin moisturized and nourished, and I think it is a competent body moisturizer for most skin types for fall and winter. As a hand cream, I feel that it is not sufficiently moisturizing for me.

The Enriching Body Treats (£29) is a good discovery set for the brand’s bodycare products. The essential (cleansing and moisturizing) bodycare items, in generous travel sizes, will certainly suit those on the go.

Skin Nourishing Hand and Body Lotion – I have used to 50ml size recently on my hands and now want a giant size so can smooth this gorgeous product on my body. The smell is so wonderful, hard to describe but it smells soothing, and when nourished into your hands the aroma stays with you all day. I cannot wait for my 200ml size..
