Jill Stuart‘s Forever Juicy Oil Rouge was released in summer 2015, and the look of the product was certainly very eye-catching. I liked 03 Peach Saunter and 07 Bashful Plum, and I decided to go for 03 Peach Saunter.
Jill Stuart Forever Juicy Oil Rouge (ジルスチュアート フォーエヴァージューシー オイルルージュ/ 吉麗絲朵 莓果漾唇彩, ¥2800) in 03 Peach Saunter is a moderately-to-well pigmented bubblegum pink. (It is the most cool-toned shade among the eight that are currently available.) It contains no shimmer and has a high-shine glossy finish. It feels emollient on the lips, and both the color and the finish last well.
The product is essentially a liquid lipstick that combines the color from a lipstick with the finish from a lip gloss, and you will get a good deal of opaque pigment and quite a glossy finish with just one layer. The syrupy consistency of the product feels dense on the lips, and I think the relatively thick consistency helps hold the pigment in place and maintain its evenness overtime. There is a minuscule amount of pigment settling in lip lines, but it is only visible if I look very closely.
The packaging, with a strawberry-like container and an ornate wand, looks cute and girlie.
Overall, Forever Juicy Oil Rouge is a well-formulated product that offers rich color and glossy shine, and 03 Peach Saunter is a bright, fun, girlie and summery color. It is not an everyday color for me, but I do like the freshness and the vibrancy of the shade as well as the glossy finish.
