Last month, I reviewed Paul & Joe‘s Lipstick N in 214 Paris Métro, Lipstick Case N 01 and Limited Lipstick Case 001 from the brand’s fall 2017 Parisienne Girl makeup collection. Today I will be focusing on Eye Color CS in 110 Caprice Girl and Lipstick Case CS 040 from the same collection. (I am planning to keep Eye Color CS in 110 unused for a while, so this is mainly a picture post, not a review.)
Paul & Joe Eye Color CS in 110 Caprice Girl (ポール ＆ ジョー アイカラー CS 110 カプリス ガール, ¥3000 in Japan, £19 in the UK) is one of the three limited-edition variations of Eye Color CS for fall 2017. It includes a pale beige and a beige brown. Both shades have a warm tone that appeals to me.
It is a pleasant coincidence that the variation with my favorite eyeshadow color combination among the three features the print I like the most among the three.
The print on the oval case features multi-hued floral motifs against a dark-blue background. I love the watercolor style of the print and the use of both strong and soft colors.
A faded version of the print can be seen inside the case (both underneath the eyeshadows and on the inner side of the lid).
Paul & Joe Lipstick Case CS 040 (ポール ＆ ジョー リップスティック ケース CS 040, ¥1000 in Japan, £7 in the UK) is one of the three limited-edition designs of Lipstick Case CS for fall 2017. It has the same print as that of Eye Color CS in 110 Caprice Girl.
The print can also be seen on items from Paul & Joe’s fall/winter 2017 collection from the brand’s fashion line.
