Here is a look at Kanebo’s Milano Collection 2020 for holiday 2019. The 2020 collection celebrates the 30th anniversary of Milano Collection. There will be two versions of the 2020 collection (the Kanebo version and the Kanebo GR version).
The Kanebo version includes:
– Kanebo Milano Collection 2020 Face Up Powder (above & below, pressed powder, 24g, limited edition, ¥9000, to be released in Japan on December 1st)

– Kanebo Milano Collection 2020 Face Up Powder Set (with an additional refill, limited edition, ¥15000, to be released in Japan on December 1st)
– Kanebo Milano Collection 2020 Eau de Parfum (30ml, limited edition, to be released in Japan in November)
The Kanebo GR (short for the Italian word grande) version includes:
– Kanebo Milano Collection 2020 GR Face Up Powder (pressed powder, 30g, limited edition, ¥12000, to be released in Japan on December 1st)
– Kanebo Milano Collection 2020 GR Face Up Powder Set (with an additional refill, limited edition, ¥20000, to be released in Japan on December 1st)
– Kanebo Milano Collection 2020 GR Eau de Parfum (30ml, with a mini bottle (4ml), limited edition, to be released in Japan in November)
Both versions of the pressed powder contain hyaluronic acid and royal jelly extract. The Kanebo GR version of the pressed powder also contains what Kanebo calls “natural botanical essence”, which includes olive leaf extract, artichoke leaf extract, Althaea officinalis (marshmallow plant) root extract and butylene glycol.
The notes of Kanebo Milano Collection 2020 Eau de Parfum and Kanebo Milano Collection 2020 GR Eau de Parfum include:
- Top notes: orange, pear, green apple
- Middle notes: white lotus, Rosa alba (white rose of York), Rosa damascena (Damask rose), jasmine, lily of the valley, iris
- Base notes: white musk, sandalwood, amber
Notice the difference in size between the two versions of the pressed powder and the differences in packaging between the two versions of the pressed powder and the fragrance.
The Kanebo GR version will replace the Kanebo Twany version, and there will be no Kanebo Impress version this year.

The GR version is generally available from department stores and beauty specialty stores in Japan. You may want to find someone that does customer purchases in Japan and ask whether it is still available.
