Apart from the bronzing items, the rest of the collection ranges from warm pink to peach and beige. Overall, I think most of the colors are too warm for my complexion. But if you are a bronzed goddess, this collection is definitely worth a closer look when it hits the counters.

I am liking the look of the Golden Dior pendant at the moment. Since I didn’t use my Boots points on any of Dior’s spring 2008 collection, I might use them to get it. It contains a cream color that can be used on the eyes, cheeks, and lips. It is available in Pink and Gold, and I will probably get the one in Pink…

(If the same thing happens again with Dior’s limited-edition items, only the one in Gold would be available in the US.)

Some of my Dior items:

DiorLight Jeweled Makeup Necklace
(from Holiday 2007)

Diorissime Palette
(from Fall 2007)

5-Color Eyeshadow Palette in Seascape

(purple, blue, and mint green…)

Well, I’m loving these colors, especially eyeshadow monos(I hope they won’t be too shimmery!) and nail polishes and bronzer! This pendant looks so pretty, but since I don’t have so much money to be collector, I’d prefer something more wearable and everyday. Love the nail polishes! :) (I will add a link in my blog to this post about Dior Summer 2008!)

Oh that is pretty. I usually don’t like the more jewellery-like items by Dior but this pendant is gorgeous. I fear that for once I’ll be getting the summer item since in general I only like autumn items with the occasional spring ones from Dior. The winter ones always seem too fancy for my taste.

I generally don’t like summer collections because there’s too much of browns and bronzing and not enough colour. I like the Asia exclusive items better than what’s going to be released here (as is usually the case).

I also dislike that in North America they generally release only the more neutral colour rather than the pink tone of their seasonal items. Would you happen to know of anywhere online where I could buy the other one since Canada usually follows the US in which colour is available?

I am so excited to see this… They didn’t show us much at the Dior School (since i’ve posted last i’ve become a Dior demo artist!). You always keep me up-to-date on everything haha. Just to let you know for the spring collection we had both harmonies here in canada (and by extension the US) for spring for some reason, after only have two harmonies for last fall and Christmas. They said we wouldn’t be getting both harmonies, but apparently that didn’t really go through for this spring. It appears we will be getting both colour harmonies for summer but i don’t know about the star product… They didn’t show us the star product at all at training, but now that i see it i’m so excited!!!

Hi Sanita,

Good to hear from you again.

I think the eyeshadow monos might be quite shimmery, which seems to be the trend with Dior’s eyeshadows now. But hopefully you’ll still like them.

Thank you for the link to this post, and thank you as well for the link to the post on blue-tinted lip glosses. I really appreciate it!

Keep up the great work with your blog, and thank you for visiting my blog again! :)

Hi Ebontien,

I also don’t usually get very excited about summer collections. Mostly there are the usual bronzers. But it appears to me that many summer collections from western brands this year have more browns and beiges than before. Apart from Lunasol, I am still waiting for a slightly more colorful summer collection.

I was quite surprised when I found out that some of the more colorful seasonal items from Dior were never available in North America. Surely there are many people there who would like to try these colors…

As for items only available to Europe and Asia, I tend to see them on eBay quite a lot. But if I come across any website that regularly carries these items, I will certainly let you know.

Thank you for posting your comment again! :)

Hi Hightea_xx,

Great that you are a Dior demo artist. It sounds very exciting indeed! You must be able to play with all the latest items and create some great looks with them! :)

Yes, the “harmony”, that’s the word on Dior’s makeup leaflets at the counters. I should start using the word later on.

I am surprised that you didn’t get to see the star product before the rest of us. But I guess it should be available in Canada.

Thank you for stopping by my blog again! :)

What´s the thing on the 4th pic? That compact wich looks like half highlighter, half powder plus something in the bottom?
I´m curious!:D

gorgeous PJ although like you I feel these are a bit too warm for me.

Which is good saves me money for other pretty things ;)

Although the pendent is nice I won’t be getting it as I have a hard time using it and it seems wasteful when I do that ;)

Hi Eru,

Great to hear from you again! :)

I think the fourth one is a bronzer with two finishes (shimmery and matte) plus a lip gloss at the bottom. It seems that Dior had a similar one last summer…

Hope it helps! :)

Hi The Muse,

Most of these shades are too warm for me as well…

I think I will get the pendant, but I will wait until I see them in person to make the final decision.

It will probably cost around 35 pounds, which is expensive. I wouldn’t be interested in getting it if I didn’t have enough Boots points. So I definitely see what you mean.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts again! :)

Hi Beautytalk,

Do let me know what you think if you get to try either of them and if you decide to do a review on it! :)

hey there

I know how much you adore the jewelry pieces and how vast your collection is of them so it’ll be a very nice addition to your stash if you do get it. I look forward to your review if you pick it up.

Although the powders and shadows don’t appeal (thank god) I am somewhat leaning towards the glosses and lippies but I’ll have to see what catches my fancy from Japan before deciding on these!

love ya!

Dear PJ,

I absolutely love the Golden Dior Pendant but I am just wondering why cant I see this on the Dior website? Havent they showcased this yet? Also let me know when would this be available from? I am so dying to get this. I already have the Dior Dice and Dior Detective lip palette and they are absolutely lovely. I am just in love with their limited edition stuff.

Hi The Muse,

Indeed, we are still in the observing stage. I am certainly waiting to see more summer collections before I decide what to pick up.

I do really like Dior’s lip glosses. The give a very luxurious and glassy shine. The quality is very good, and I do think they are worth the money. Hope it won’t be too hard for you to make a decision later on!

Thank you for commenting again! :)

Dear Abha,

Thank you for leaving your comment! :)

It seems that the Dior website only updates on the new releases when they are available in the stores. Before that, people are usually able to read about the latest collections from magazines and websites as major on-line and print publications obtain press information from Dior.

(On the other hand, some websites of Japanese cosmetics brands have sneak peeks of their new items weeks before they are available.)

In Japan, the Golden Dior pendant is going to be available on April 25th. I am not sure in which country you currently live, but I think it should be available in most countries in April or early May.

Thank you again for visiting my blog. Hope to hear from you again soon! :)

Hi there,

Thank you for sending me the link. This is the first time I saw the pendant opened.

From the Japanese source where I got the information on the Dior summer 2008 collection, the shade in the pendant is of a cream texture and can be used on the eyes, lips, and cheeks. So the brown shade should work as a nude-to-brown lip shade.

In the Asian and European markets, a pink shade will be available.

Hope it helps, and thank you very much for leaving a comment! :)

Dear pj,

I’d discovered your blog,a wonderful source of info, just a few days ago while I’d tried searching for Golden Dior.(I’m also a fan of Dior beauty creation.)

I’d like to add that the ‘Matte Sunshine’ and ‘Blush Harmony’ have a tint of nice fragrance (may be a tropical flower something.)

Keep on your impressive article!

FYI-I’m from Asia.

Dear Zora,

Thank you very much for reading my blog and for leaving your comment.:)

Thank you for sharing the information as well!

Dior is one of my favorite brands. I think it has been doing very well in the past few years regrading revamping the packaging and the brand image and creating high-quality products. I am glad that you like Dior as well!

Do please continue to stop by my blog from time to time, and hope to hear from you again! :)
