Opera will release its fall 2022 makeup collection in Japan on August 24th. The collection includes:
– Lip Tint N (above & below, 2 new shades (16 Sheer Brown above), including 1 limited edition, ¥1500)
(115 Mystic Red (limited edition))
– Eye Color Pencil (2 new shades, limited editions, ¥1500)
(10 Icy Mauve)
(11 Night Gold)
– Coloring Mascara (2 new shades, limited editions, ¥1500)
(09 Dusk Yellow)
(10 Cloudy Blue)
Many of you who are interested in Japanese cosmetics would certainly be familiar with Opera. It is a drugstore beauty line owned by Imju Corporation, which also owns well-known drugstore beauty lines such as Dejavu and Naturie. The line is perhaps best known for its lip color items. Lip Tint (pictured below), launched in Japan in November 2016, was very popular. Lip Tint N (the renewed version) was launched in Japan in May 2019 and it currently features 15 regular shades.

Opera currently features four items in its lineup (Lip Tint N, Sheer Lip Color RN, Eye Color Pencil and Coloring Mascara). Eye Color Pencil and Coloring Mascara are relatively new items. They were both launched in Japan in November 2021.
I was tempted to try Lip Tint before it was replaced by Lip Tint N. Even though I like the line’s current product packaging design, I think I still prefer the packaging of the case of Lip Tint to that of Lip Tint N. If I have a chance to try any item from the line, I will certainly share my thoughts with you!
