Shiseido Snow Beauty Fall 2023 Base Makeup & Handcare Collection

Shiseido Snow Beauty released its fall 2023 base makeup and handcare collection in Japan on July 21st. The collection is created in collaboration with artist Himemi Sakamoto (坂本ヒメミ).

The collection includes:

– Brightening Skincare Powder A (1 shade, 25g, limited edition)

There are two availability options:

1 x 25g pressed powder & powder case (¥6500)
1 x 25g pressed powder (without powder case) (¥4000)

The option that includes a powder case also includes two powder puffs and a storage pouch.

– Brightening Hand Cream A (40g, limited edition, ¥2000)

Like the previous versions of the powder (from 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022), the 2023 version is both a setting powder for daytime and a skincare powder for nighttime.

The 2023 version of the powder contains stearyl glycyrrhetinate as an additional skincare ingredient. (According to Paula Begoun’s Skincare Ingredient Dictionary, it is an antioxidant and has skin-soothing properties.) Brightening Hand Cream A also contains this ingredient.

The slimmer powder puff for daytime can be stored in the powder case, and the powder case and the fluffier powder puff for nighttime can be stored together in the pouch.

Brightening Skincare Powder A is the tenth edition of the face powder from the Snow Beauty range. The powder case and the hand cream tube feature the snowflake motifs from the past nine editions of the powder case.

The protector sheets on the powder (from both availability options), the outer boxes of the powder (also from both options) and (presumably) the outer box of the hand cream feature illustrations by Himemi Sakamoto. Each protector sheet features one of eight designs.
