Makeup, Skincare, Fragrance and a Bit of Fashion
I have been picking up at least one variation of each of Kanebo Coffret d’Or‘s eyeshadow palette series since the launch of the line in 2007. With 3D Gradation Eyes, released as part of Coffret d’Or’s late summer/ early fall 2013 makeup collection, I was choosing between 02 Mint Brown and 04 Rose Purple. I decided to go for 02 Mint Brown.

From Givenchy‘s upcoming fall 2014 Extravagancia makeup collection, the limited-edition Extravagancia Palette caught my attention. It features four eyeshadows and one lip color, and I like the combination of purple, brown, and champagne gold eyeshadows.

Kanebo Lunasol has updated its official website with preliminary information on the line’s Rococo-inspired fall 2014 makeup collection, which will be released in Japan on August 22nd.
The collection includes:
– Grace Contrasting Eyes
– Dual Contrasting Eyes
– Shape Designing Liquid Eyeliner
– Full Glamour Lips
– Creamy Matte Crayon Lips
– Soft Contrasting Cheeks
– Nail Finish N
On September 19th, Lunasol will release new base makeup and skincare items for fall/winter 2014. They are:

For fall 2014, Jill Stuart will release Crystal Bloom Eau de Parfum in Japan on September 5th. Created by Christine Nagel (currently one of the in-house perfumers at Hermès), Crystal Bloom features a “tulle accord”, which is a combination of more than one hundred floral notes crafted to be the olfactory equivalent of a delicately layered tulle dress.

One of Sofina Aube Couture‘s main aims is to make makeup application as easy and straightforward as possible, and it is not difficult to see how the line tries to achieve this with its product designs. (See my post on Aube Couture’s user-friendliness.) One good example of this is the design of the line’s eyeshadow palettes (Designing Eyes, Designing Shine Eyes, Designing Impression Eyes and Designing Impression Eyes II). The colors in the palettes are arranged in a way to show where they are applied on the eye areas. In the same vein, the line’s Designing Puff Cheek, launched in summer 2013, attempts to make blusher and highlighter application quick and simple.
