Kosé’s Cosme Decorte will launch a new base makeup line, Lacouture, in Japan on August 21st. The key item in the launch collection is Loose Foundation, which is a powder foundation in a loose-powder form. It can be applied with a puff or a brush. The foundation features organic cotton powder, which is aimed to create a lightweight feel.

3rd: Addiction
(image from www.addiction-beauty.com)
I have been interested in Addiction since its launch in fall 2009, but, product-wise, the new Cheek Stick from the brand’s summer 2011 makeup collection has caught my eye the most. Designed mainly as blushers, the eight available shades can also be used as eyeshadows and lipsticks. (Some of them can also be used for highlighting and contouring.)

6th: Sonia Rykiel

I like the eye-catching Multico Eyeshadow palettes from Sonia Rykiel’s summer 2011 makeup collection. They are not the tone-on-tone eyeshadow palettes that we see a lot of from Japanese lines, but the colors are very well-coordinated. They are colorful but relatively wearable. My favorite one is, of course, the one with purple, pink, and golden beige.

For summer 2011, Addiction will release Cheek Stick in Japan on May 20th. Available in 8 shades, the product looks like a lipstick but is used predominantly as a blusher. According to Voce, it can also be used for the eyes and lips.

The official website of Kosé’s Esprique has been launched. The site currently features product information, makeup tutorial videos (under Item) and TV commercials.
The current brand ambassador is Namie Amuro.
As I mentioned earlier, Esprique’s tagline is One Stroke Beauty, stressing the simple makeup application techniques. The tutorial videos demonstrate how this is achieved with each of the items in the lineup.
You can also check out my previous post for more information.
At the moment, I am choosing between A-1 and A-2 of Blend Dimensional Eyes, and I also like the look of Melty Fix Cheek and Aqua Drape Rouge.

3rd: Magie Deco
(image from www.cosmedecorte.com/magiedeco)
Magie Deco’s spring 2011 Sugar Magic makeup collection features light lilacs and neutrals with a touch of green. The color combinations of Magie Deco’s eyeshadow palettes are usually slightly more unusual and unpredictable (see Magie Deco’s fall 2009 makeup collection), but the wearability of this collection and the soft looks that it can create are certainly appealing to me.

Here is an image I came across on 2Channel of what should be Kosé Esprique‘ summer 2011 makeup collection. The line will be re-named “Esprique” (previously Esprique Precious) and there will be an image revamp. I quite like the look of the new eyeshadow palette.
It is interesting that two of the megabrands (Kanebo’s Coffret D’Or and Kosé’s Esprique Precious) are updating their images this year and bringing out black packaging. This means that all the megabrands (the two plus Shiseido’s Maquillage) will have items with black cases.
Also, the new look seems to resemble that of Kosé’s Visée.

I will update this post with more information later on.
Updated on March 1st, 2011:
(image/info from www.nikkei.com)
The collection includes:
– Blend Dimensional Eyes (Shiny) (5 variations)
– Melty Fix Cheek (4 shades)
– Aqua Drape Rouge (10 shades)
“One Stroke Beauty” is the tagline of the line, as the items are designed to save time and they will be quick and easy to use. (The colors on the right side of the eyeshadow palettes are designed to be used separately or mixed together, and the lip colors will impart both color and gloss on the lips.)
The collection will be launched in Japan on March 25th and in the rest of Asia from May. The new brand website (esprique.com) will go live on March 25th.
