Earlier, a reader and I were talking about the lack of excitement of Majolica Majorca’s recent seasonal collections. (See the post on Majolica Majorca’s fall 2010 makeup collection.) It seems that, for the coming season at least, the excitement will be coming from one of Shiseido’s other drugstore lines, Integrate.

Among the items of Integrate’s fall 2010 makeup collection is Rainbow Grade Eyes. The lower left shade in each of the nine variations contains “rainbow pearl”, which imparts multi-colored shine and shimmer.

The rest of the collection includes:

– Smooth-on Liner (2 shades)
– Micro Slim Eyebrow (3 shades)
– Diamond Star Rouge (12 shades)
– Sakura Drop Essence (lip conditioning essence)
– Mineral Foundation (Pressed) (SPF16, PA+, 1 new shade)
– Mineral Foundation (Loose) (1 new shade)

Both the colors and the packaging of Rainbow Grade Eyes look really lovely, and, for 1575 JPY (about 11.8 GBP) for a palette, I would be quite happy to try two or even three different variations…

The collection will be released in Japan on August 21st.

Dior’s summer 2010 makeup collection is the only collection from a western brand in my top ten for this season. Besides Addicted to Dior, the two 5-Colour Iridescent palettes, 649 Ready-to-Glow and 659 Crush Glow, are also highlights of the collection. (I prefer the warmer Crush Glow (above).)

2nd: Magie Deco

I actually didn’t pay too much attention to Magie Deco’s summer 2010 collection until I saw images of the collection on the official website. I was fascinated by the cheerful and summery (as well as chic and glamorous) Shadow Brilliance II in LC034 Latina Beauty. Interestingly, the color combination looks somewhat similar to that of Dior’s Crush Glow (above), with yellow gold, salmon pink, and chocolate brown.

1st: Lunasol

Lunasol’s summer 2010 collection continues the Nature Purification theme. The two new Nature Color Eyes palettes, EX01 Nature Summer Blue and EX02 Nature Summer Beige, draw inspiration from the hues of the sand and the sea and turn them into shimmery and stunning eyeshadows. The rest of the items in the collection complement the two palettes beautifully, and the peachy-orange items reflect the recent makeup trends.

If you are interested in Coffret D’Or‘s late summer/ early fall 2010 collection, there are (finally) some swatches of the items at Iswii.net.

Among the five variations of Beauty C Curve Eyes, I am more interested in 02 Rose Pink and 04 Peach Beige. The swatches are very helpful, although they are not really making the decision easier for me.

All the colors in the two palettes other than the lining shades are quite light. I usually base my decision to purchase an eyeshadow palette on the medium (shadowing) shade, and neither of the two palettes has one. (01 and 05 are not really my shades and I seldom wear dark grey (like the one in 03).)

At the moment I am leaning towards 04 but I will probably make the decision after seeing more photos. (I have at least one palette from each eyeshadow palette series from Coffret D’Or and I am not planning to leave a gap in my collection…) I will include other links to photos in this post if I come across any.

Updated on June 29th 2010:

See swatches of 04 Peach Beige at Makeup And Life. Also, see swatches of 01 Gold Brown here and swatches of all the palettes here and here. I still think I will be going for 04…

While the limited-edition Finishing Powder and Lipstick S from Paul & Joe’s summer 2010 makeup collection are probably getting the most attention, I am more interested in the new Lip Gloss G. I like the two Paul & Joe lip glosses I have (including Lip Gloss N in Black-Tie), and the new range also has some lovely colors. For a change, the chrysanthemum motifs are embossed (and not printed) on the tubes. Very pretty!

5th: Elégance

From lip glosses from Paul & Joe to those from Elégance. The new Glam Up Gloss features a nice variety of shades, including a blue-tinted one, which I am slightly tempted to get. (The Glam Up Gloss range is not a limited edition so I will have time to think about getting the blue one.) Apart from the lip glosses, I also like how the whole collection is visually presented on the brand’s official website.

4th: Lavshuca

(image from www.kanebo-cosmetics.jp/lavshuca)

(image from www.kanebo-cosmetics.jp/lavshuca)

The first product from Lavshuca’s summer 2010 collection that grabbed my attention is the new Mix Color Cheeks, with one highlighter and two gradational blusher shades in each of the four variations. The new Melting Eyes range has some wearable neutrals, peaches, and pinks. Among the five variations, OR-1 is perhaps the most on-trend one.

The countdown concludes in Part 3.
