Kanebo Lunasol will release its fall/winter 2010 base makeup collection in Japan on September 10th. The new items include:

– Water Cream Foundation N (SPF19, PA++, 6 shades)
– Tone-Up Makeup Base (SPF19, PA++)
– Skin Contrast Face Powder (2 shades)

It seems that Water Cream Foundation N will replace Water Cream Foundation and that Skin Contrast Face Powder will replace Micro Finish Powder N. I have been interested in trying Micro Finish Powder N (in 02 Natural Beige) for quite some time (since I wrote this post). I might have to get it soon before it is discontinued……

On the same day, Lunasol will also release new skincare products. They are:

– Fast Skin Adjuster (pre-toner)
– Moist Conditioner (toner)
– Balancing Milk OC/SO (moisturizing milk)
– Wrapping Skin Repair (moisturizing Cream)

Here is a look at Jill Stuart‘s fall 2010 makeup collection. The star of the collection is the new loose-powder blusher, Blush Blossom, which will be available in 5 variations. (I will probably be getting one of them.)
.

The rest of the collection includes:

– Jewel Crystal Eyes (1 new variation)

– Jelly Eye Color N (3 new shades)

– Lip Luster (2 new shades, limited editions)

– Jelly Lip Gloss (1 new shade)

– Nail Lacquer N (3 new shades)

Here is a look at Paul & Joe‘s fall 2010 Clair de Lune makeup collection. The collection features:

– Face & Eye Color CS (three variations: Silver Moon, Paper Moon, Blue Moon)

– Lipstick C (3 shades: Clair de Lune, Over the Moon, Moon Shadow)

– Face Color (3 variations: Luna, Harvest Moon, Pagan)

All the items in this collection are limited editions.

This is a pleasantly colorful collection, and I think many of the items will sell well. (I also like the promotional image at the top.) However, I am not really a fan of the cat lipsticks……

Shiseido Maquillage will release its fall/winter 2010 base makeup collection in Japan on August 21st. The collection includes:

– Treatment Lasting Compact UV (cream-to-powder foundation, SPF24, PA++, 7 shades)
– Moisture Forming Powdery UV (SPF20, PA++, 7 shades)

The foundation cases are sold separately. (Both cases look quite pretty. I particularly like the one for the powder foundation.)

In April, I reviewed Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion, which has become one of my preferred body lotions (especially for cooler months). Today I am featuring the version with sun protection.

Palmer’s Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion SPF 15 has a dense lotion consistency. It features ingredients that protect against UVA and UVB rays. (It uses avobenzone to protect against the skin-damaging UVA rays.)

(For body sunscreen products, I don’t have a preference regarding physical/chemical sunscreen ingredients. (I am not sensitive to chemical sunscreen ingredients.) As for facial sunscreen products, I very slightly prefer chemical sunscreen ingredients because physical ones can sometimes feel heavy on the skin.)

Some of the moisturizing ingredients that this product contains are glyceryl stearate, petrolatum, paraffinum liquidum, propylene glycol, cetyl alcohol, glycerin, and cocoa seed butter extract.

I am glad to find most of the things I like about the Cocoa Butter Formula Body Lotion in the SPF version. The SPF version is also very easy to spread and is easily absorbed. It is emollient and moisturizing but it does not leave an oily or sticky film. It has the same smoky cocoa scent that I find very pleasant.

This is a very adequate sun protection product that will also help nourish the skin. It will particularly suit those with drier skin types and those who have to deal with dry heat.

(The product featured in this article is provided by Palmer’s.)

Kanebo Coffret D’Or will release its fall/winter 2010 base makeup collection in Japan on September 1st. The collection includes:

– Silky Fit Pact (SPF20, PA++, 7 shades)
– Silky Fit Cream Foundation (SPF21, PA++, 7 shades)
– Melty Essence Fix (primer, SPF24, PA++)
– Creamy Cover Fix (primer, SPF 21, PA++)
– Moist Flat Coat (primer for eye and lip areas)
– Mode Control Face Color (2 variations)
– Beauty C Curve Eyes (2 limited-edition variations)

I wonder what color combinations the two Beauty C Curve Eyes palettes will feature. A purple one, perhaps?

Updated on July 8th, 2010:

Details and photo of the two new (limited-edition) variations:

(06 Smoky Brown)
(07 Plum Wine)
(image/info from www.cosme.net)

Even though, according to this image, the plum in 07 Plum Wine might be a little too dark for me, I am still quite interested in trying the palette.

You can see more images of the collection here.
