For those who have been wondering whether SUQQU will release a spring 2011 makeup collection, you might want to know that, according to blogger Kurara, there will not be a full color makeup collection for spring 2011.

Instead, SUQQU has released a limited-edition Blend Color Eyeshadow Kit for spring 2011. (See the picture here, taken by blogger Imae921. Click on the left arrow for more images.) The kit includes Blend Color Eyeshadow in EX-03 Komorebi, Nuancing Loose Powder Glow (5g), Frame Fix Liquid Foundation (3ml), and Original Pouch.

The pre-ordering started on January 5th and the kit went on sale on January12th.

It is very likely that the kit has been completely sold out. According to blogger Hiroko (see more images via the link), only 300 sets were available and they were only sold at Isetan Shinjuku, Tokyo.

This is basically an exclusive kit for frequent SUQQU customers at Isetan Shinjuku (possibly the number one beauty mecca in Japan), as information on the kit is not even on SUQQU’s official website. Blend Color Eyeshadow in EX-03 Komorebi should be the only new eye palette from SUQQU for spring 2011. (EX-01 and EX-02 were in SUQQU’s 2010 Christmas Makeup Kits A & B.)

If you really like the look of the palette, you can find similar shades in Blend Color Eyeshadows in 02 Kokedama and 05 Sakurakaba.

Hey PJ,

I just recently purchased this kit from Isetan in Shinjuku, and I’ve gotta say, the palette is rather gorgeous. Of course I’ve gotten the most use out of the small Glow Face Powder that was in the kit, as it’s not quite “spring” enough to use the eye palette in its entirety. I was really surprised as to the opacity of the white, though. The green goes on almost silvery-green, very sparkly, but the pink was a bit of a disappointment.

I’m not sure if it’s just me, but the eyeshadow (especially the green and pink) didn’t last very long on my lids. Perhaps it’s just the fact that I didn’t use a primer, but I’d heard that SUQQU’s eye palettes tend to be very long-lasting, so I was surprised.

All in all, though, it’s a purchase I don’t regret. The pouch is gorgeous as well! So thank you for recommending SUQQU.

Hi Kaya,

You are very welcome, and thank you very much for letting me know what you think about this very exclusive kit! :)

For me, SUQQU’s eyeshadows last very well (both the softly pearly shades and the more shimmery ones). I don’t use an eye primer under eyeshadows, but do definitely try one and see whether it makes a difference. Hopefully it will!

Thank you very much for stopping by again! :)
