Lunasol will release its spring 2012 makeup collection in Japan on January 20th. Have a look at images of the collection here (follow the link in the tweet and click on the left arrow for an additional image) and here.
The collection includes:
– Petal Pure Eyes (3 variations)
– Lighting Eyes (5 shades)
– Full Glamour Lips G (3 new shades)
– Glowing Powder Cheeks (2 shades, limited editions)
Lunasol’s purification themes continue, and, for spring 2012, the theme is Peach Purification. The eyeshadows feature warm peaches and beiges. The packaging of the limited-edition Glowing Powder Cheeks seems very Benefit-esque.
On February 17th, Lunasol will release its spring/summer 2012 base makeup collection. The collection includes:
– Skin Modeling Liquid Foundation
– Control Base (in Clear and Glow)

I find it so interesting that Lunasol went with Benefit-like packaging for their blushes this spring – I thought the gradient blushes were quite beautiful (so much in fact that I finally ‘caved’ and bought EX-01 from E-bay).

Yes, I was surprised to see this particular design from Lunasol. (I don’t think we have ever had paper cases from Lunasol.)

The cardboard packaging is so unlike Lunasol, it’s a strange fit to the rest of their products. On their own, they are pretty, just a little out of place.
Roses really are everywhere this spring aren’t they? Dior, Lancôme and now Lunasol.
I’m not yet sure about getting anything from this collection (I’m building up my Lunasol little by little) because from what I’ve seen so far, nothing has impressed me as much as Dior spring 2012.

I do agree that the cardboard packaging is very unusual for Lunasol. It was definitely a surprise for me.
So far the palettes are not catching my attention either. I am slightly interested in the Lighting Eyes eyeshadow singles. I think 04 and 05 look pretty nice. Plus I think the little compact will look nice among my palette compacts…:)

Having seen updates on the website and a few different swatches of the collection, I think I have changed my mind. I quite like the look of the Cream Cheeks in EX05 Rose Pink and the Full Glamour Liquid Lips and lipsticks. Not sure which shade yet though and I have yet to try a lipstick from Lunasol (I already have a Liquid Lips in Fresh Pink) so I might go for one of those. I’ll probably only get one or two items from the collection though.
Also, they’ve finally updated the downloadable wallpaper on the website (I like those, not just because they are gorgeous, but the high resolution means I can look at the makeup more closely and see what they’ve done).

EX05 Rose Pink is also my preferred one of the three. The soft pink looks very pretty! As for the new Full Glamour Liquid Lips, I think 16, 17, and 18 all look quite nice. (Fresh Pink is a gorgeous shade!)
I saw the lovely wallpaper as well. I am hoping that there will perhaps be one of some of the products. :)
