It was Calvin Klein‘s beauty line from the 90’s that prompted me to start my Bring It Back series back in 2007, and it was an coincidence that news of the relaunch arrived shortly afterwards.

The line was relaunched in the UK in spring 2008, and I posted my review of Subliminal Purity Mineral Based Loose Powder, which I purchased in House of Fraser on London’s Oxford Street. However, within a year or so, the line disappeared again.

After two attempts to make the beauty line last, I wasn’t hoping for another relaunch. But earlier this year, Coty Inc. unveiled the new CK One Color Cosmetics line, which is now available in the US, France, Spain, Portugal, and Australia.

This time, the beauty line is marketed as an extension to the “CK One” brand, whose iconic namesake fragrance was launched in 1994. The image of the beauty line is youthful and edgy, and the packaging of the products is not too dissimilar to that from the last time.

The products are grouped into three categories:

Look Real: foundation, concealer, pressed powder
Define Yourself: mascara, brow pencil, eyeliner, bronzer, blusher, lip liner
Add Intensity: eyeshadow, lipstick, lip gloss, nail color

According to Coty Inc., CK One Color Cosmetics will be available in the UK later this year.

Even though I still prefer the sleek look of Calvin Klein’s makeup products from the 90’s (see my post on Calvin Klein Eye Shadow in 06 Ivory), I am certainly looking forward to the re-relaunch. At the moment, I am interested in Cream+Powder Blush Duo, Powder Eyeshadow Quad, Pure Color Lipstick, Lipgloss, and Color+Treat Lipkit.
