If you happen to be a regular reader of my blog, then, yes, this is finally my first ever item from Kate!
As mentioned in my post back in 2007, Kate, owned by Kanebo, is a popular Japanese drugstore makeup line. It is generally as widely available in Japan, East Asia, and Southeast Asia as other popular drugstore makeup lines from Japan such as Majolica Majorca and Lavshuca. However, as a fan of Japanese cosmetics for many years, I had never bought anything from Kate. Earlier this year, I looked through Kate’s products in person again and decided to go for Gradical Eyes A in GD-1, which was released in Japan in spring 2010.

Aube Couture’s holiday 2012 makeup collection includes four variations of Designing Jewel Compact, with colors for eyes and lips. Each of the four variations comes in two cases, so there are technically eight palettes to choose from. I like 01 Gold Brown Set and I prefer the design of the black case.

Dior’s holiday 2012 Grand Bal makeup collection features chic gold-toned neutrals for the eyes and seductive reds for the lips and nails. The Grand Bal palette, in a sleek gold case, also includes a gold-toned eyeshadow, and I like the look of the Diorific items in the gold packaging as well. The collection has a glamorous and opulent feel.

10th: Majolica Majorca

For me, the highlight of Majolica Majorca’s holiday 2012 makeup collection is the new Cream de Cheek. It features four lovely shades and adorable packaging. It is good that this is not a limited-edition product, and I look forward to testing it later on.
