Jo Malone is well-known for its well-crafted fragrances, but the brand also carries numerous skincare items. Today I am highlighting Vitamin E Moisturising Day Crème SPF 15, which was launched in January 2012 and is the latest product in Jo Malone’s Vitamin E skincare range.
Soft and feminine, Chanel‘s spring 2012 makeup collection showcases pinks and peaches and is truly spring-like. Today I am highlighting four items from the collection: Blush Horizon de Chanel, Rouge Coco Shine in 68 Candeur, Lèvres Scintillantes in 181 Bagatelle, and Rouge Coco Baume.
Kanebo Freeplus is a skincare and base makeup line that is designed for those with sensitive skin. (See my round-up of the line here.) On January 16th, Freeplus’ skincare range will be renewed.
Nikkei hasn’t posted the specific item information, but, based on the image, it seems that most of the core basic items (cleansing oil, face wash, toners, lotions, and creams) will be renewed.
I will update this post with more information later on.

As with some of the previous years, SUQQU released two limited-edition Christmas Makeup Kits for the brand’s holiday 2011 collection. Both 2011 Christmas Makeup Kit A and B feature a limited-edition variation of Blend Color Eyeshadow, Eye Makeup Remover R, Eye Cream R, and Original Pouch. Today I am featuring 2011 Christmas Makeup Kit B, and I am focusing on Blend Color Eyeshadow in EX-06 Usuchaori.
Over the years, one of the questions that I have been asked the most by my readers is “Have you tried B. B. creams?”
Personally, B. B. creams don’t fit in with my daily skincare/makeup routine. Currently, when I don’t wear makeup, my daytime routine ends with Olay’s Complete Care Daily Sensitive UV Fluid SPF 15. When I do want coverage, I wear ZA’s Two-Way Foundation on top of the Olay moisturizer. Generally, I prefer pigmented products for face, eyes, and cheeks to be powder-based. (Powder foundations suit my sebaceous skin a lot more, and I find powder eyeshadows (especially those from Japanese lines) and blushers a lot easier to work with. Also, I very rarely wear primers.) Therefore, I haven’t been tempted to purchase a B. B. cream.
However, today, I am taking you through the basics of B. B. creams and I will be reviewing Garnier‘s Miracle Skin Perfector Daily All-in-One B. B. Cream.
I have to say that, partly due to the lack of (law enforced) product labeling, the awareness of full-spectrum sun protection (against both UVA and UVB rays) in the UK is still lacking (especially compared with the strong awareness in many countries in East Asia, such as Japan). However, there has been some slight improvement partly thanks to TV adverts from Boots such as this:

.
Boots‘ No 7 range has recently released Protect & Perfect Intense Day Cream (50ml), which SPF 15 and 5-star UVA protection. (Boots uses a star rating system to indicate the level of UVA protection in a product. Products with a 5-star label offer the strongest UVA protection.) The cream has a relatively light creamy consistency and feels emollient on the skin. The consistency is likely to appeal to those with normal-to-dry skin.
