YSL Gloss Pur 11 Icy Effect Summer 2011 Makeup 1(Still available…)

– I was told by a Muji sales assistant that Muji UK is no longer carrying facial skincare items for the time being. This means I will not be able to continue purchasing my Muji cleansing oil (Mild Oil Cleansing) in the UK. (Muji’s EU on-line store still has a few other skincare items.) I am surprised and not surprised. Muji Japan recently expanded its skincare range (and re-packaged some existing products, including Mild Oil Cleansing (the print on the bottle is now in green, not red)) and I thought Muji UK might start carrying more skincare products. However, Muji is never known for skincare in the UK so it is not too surprising that it is now focusing on other product lines.

– I stopped by a Guerlain counter to see the new Guerlain Emilio Pucci collection for summer 2012. I was of course mainly looking at the blue Terracotta Gloss (£21). It is a sheer shimmer-less navy lip gloss with a hint of purple. I was thinking about buying it before seeing it in person, but I wasn’t sure if I would like the navy shade. (I usually prefer blue lip glosses in warmer ocean-blue shades.) I decided to walk away at the time, but I may go back.

YSL’s Gloss Pur in 11 Icy Effect was a limited-edition item from the brand’s summer 2011 makeup collection, but I spotted it at the YSL counter at Selfridges Oxford Street with a few red and white/silver makeup items on a display unit (with the Union Jack as the background) for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee.
