In April, RMK renewed some of its cleansing products. Cleansing Oil S and Cleansing Milk C replaced the previous versions, and Cleansing Balm M was introduced. Today I am reviewing the new Cleansing Oil S and Cleansing Balm M.
RMK’s Cleansing Oil N is one of my favorite makeup-removing products, and I have been using it ever since it replaced Cleansing Oil (which I also used continuously). Therefore, I was curious to see how different the new Cleansing Oil S was going to be. It turned out that there are some noticeable differences:

I still remember my reaction upon seeing the very first issue of Biteki in 2001. “A magazine just about beauty!” I exclaimed to myself. I became a fan ever since. I have purchased every single issue so far, and I certainly think Biteki is one of the best sources of information on Japanese beauty products (and beauty products in general).

One of my readers, Kerry, has mentioned her concern (which I am sure is shared by many others) about using beauty products manufactured in Japan since the accident at Fukushima Daiichi Nuclear Power Plant as a result of the earthquake on March 11th.
To ensure the safety of the production process and of the use of the products, Japan Cosmetic Industry Association issued a statement on March 30th. You can read the English version here. This is a direct translation from the Japanese version, which has been posted on official websites of many Japanese beauty brands.

Founded in 1997, SkinCeuticals is a skincare brand currently owned by L’Oréal. The brand features cleansers, toners, serums, moisturizers and sunscreens, but it is perhaps SkinCeuticals’ serums that are the most noted. Today I am featuring three of them, each of which has its own specific purpose.
– Hydrating B5 (Moisture-Enhancing Fluid)
As the name suggests, Hydrating B5 is a moisturizing serum. It has a watery-gel consistency and has a lot of slip. (The consistency and texture slightly resemble those of aloe vera juice.)
