Aube Couture’s fall 2012 makeup collection includes four new variations of Designing Impression Eyes. Both 561 and 563 look appealing to me, and I have bought and tried 561 (above). I have slight issues with a couple of shades in the palette, but it generally works well for me. I also love the gorgeous limited-edition case design.

Kao Sofina Aube Couture will release four new shades of Excellent Stay Rouge in Japan on November 13th. They will be released between the line’s holiday 2012 palettes and its spring 2013 makeup collection.

Kao Sofina Aube Couture will release its spring 2013 makeup collection in Japan on December 4th. The collection features:
– Essence Premium Rouge (10 shades, ¥3360)
Presumably, Essence Premium Rouge will replace Designing Premium Rouge, which debuted in Japan on December 5th, 2010 (for spring 2011) and currently features 28 shades.

For fall 2012, Sofina Aube Couture released four new (limited-edition) variations of Designing Impression Eyes in limited-edition cases. I was instantly attracted to the combination of lilac and dark blue in 561 Purple as well as the design of the case. With good experiences with Designing Impression Eyes in 553 Purple, I decided to go for this palette.

Sofina Aube Couture has updated its official website to feature the line’s holiday 2012 makeup collection. Four variations of Designing Jewel Compacts (limited editions, ¥5250 each) will be released in late September, and each variation comes in one of the two cases.

Sofina‘s color makeup line, Aube, was revamped in December 2008 to become Aube Couture. I had a chance to see Aube Couture in person earlier this year and I was very impressed by the Designing Impression Eyes series, which was launched in fall 2011. I currently have four palettes from the series, and 553 Purple was the first one I purchased. It is my first ever item from Aube Couture, and therefore I am highlighting it in my Stash Debut 2012 series.

6th: Paul & Joe

Paul & Joe’s summer 2012 Midsummer Nights makeup collection features limited-edition minty-green packaging and some eye-catching items, but I prefer the light-blue packaging from the summer 2011 collection and I also prefer the blue lip gloss from summer 2011 (Lip Gloss B in 001 L’Horizon Bleu) to the green lip gloss this season (Lip Gloss G in 002 Fairie Kisses). I do love the floral print of Blotting Paper 2012, which I will highlight a little later.

In my Japanese Brand Profile series, I have written about Kao Sofina‘s Beauté and (the now discontinued) Hada.ka skincare lines. Today, in my Stash Debut 2012 series, I will be talking about another skincare line from Sofina, Sofina Jenne, and I will be reviewing Sofina Jenne Trial Set (Moist Type), my first purchase from Sofina Jenne (mainly to try the popular Jelly Moisturizer, one of the best-selling products from Sofina).

Like Elsia’s spring 2012 makeup collection (featured in Part 2), Aube Couture’s spring 2012 makeup collection impressed me when I saw it in person. The new Designing Impression Eyes series was launched in fall 2011, and there are three new variations for spring 2012. What I like about these three new palettes (and many of the fall 2011 ones) is that they combine low-key colors with high-toned shimmery finishes. This combination creates understated glamour, and these three palettes are still very wearable for daytime. (See the two limited-edition variations for summer 2012.)
The twelve shades of the new Excellent Stay Rouge feature some elegant low-key cool-toned shades, which appeal to me a lot.
