I like the glamorous look of the Aura Beauty pressed powder in the Aura Beauty set for Maquillage’s holiday 2011 makeup collection, as well as the grater (Blend Sharpener) that turns the pressed powder into loose powder, which can be used with the Face Brush included in the set. The deluxe mirror and the pouch complete this limited-edition set beautifully.

Primavista, Kao Sofina‘s base makeup line, was launched in September 2008 to replace my beloved Raycious. On November 15th, Sofina will release Primavista Dea, a sub-line of Primavista that is designed for consumers over fifty. According to Kao (which owns the Sofina brand), the range incorporates “pure blossom powder” to help target the appearance of large pores and sallowness.

Sofina Aube Couture will release Designing Jewel Compact in Japan on November 1st for the holiday 2011 season. The compact, available in 8 variations, includes a 5-color eyeshadow palette (in the same design as that of the new Designing Impression Eyes from fall 2011) and 3 lip colors.

Unlike Dior’s spring 2011 makeup collection, in which many of the items are too grey-toned for me, Dior’s summer 2011 Electric Tropics makeup collection is a lot more wearable for me. 5-Colour Eyeshadow in 534 Rosy Nude, the lighter of the two new palettes, is particularly appealing to me.
